Notification!

The theme that is used for this blog is not really compatible anymore after all these tumblr updates. I noticed today that the posts are not appearing properly.  I will find a new theme for this blog and will alter it. It probably will take a while, because I will still have to do some CSS and HMTL editing. 

Also, it has been brought to my attention that the second download link isn’t working anymore. I will look for a new host for this back-up link. The first one, luckily, still works

For now I will put a notification on the download page. I will keep you all updated when the second link will be active again.

Hi, I know it's been a while, but I tried to download the play from that second link, but it is now saying that the file is not available anymore. Is there a way we could get a new link?

Thank you for reporting this.  I checked both links.

The second one is indeed not working anymore. I will need to find a new host for that one.  The first one, however, still works. I tested the link with the following browsers:

Chrome

Firefox

Explorer

Edge 

Because of the file size, I was directed to a notification page first that stated that the file was too big to be controlled for virusses. The file is 1.9 GB. 

I had to press another button to accept the download risk. 

It can also not be watched on the drive, again due to the size of the file. So, you will have to download it. In this case I would like to advise you to use the first link. I don’t know when I will have found a new server for the second back-up link.

Still active

Yes, this blog is still active even though there hasn’t been any new information about the stage play or a sequel to it.  But this blog will remain active in hope that one day there will be a sequel.

The download is also still available and will remain available, but please be respectful to the rules regarding the download file.

The InuYasha Stage play is still available. Just open the blog with a computer browser (not on mobile) and visit this page: [x] It somehow won’t play for online viewing (probably because the file is too big), but you can still download the play. We only ask you to be respectful to our rules, regarding this download file as mentioned on the download page.

My apologies when asks aren’t responded to quickly. Unfortunately, I don’t receive notification when asks are made on this blog. And somehow they also don’t appear as ‘unread’ attached to my envelope icon Inbox on my Dashboard. So if I check my inbox and I notice asks, it is kind of hard to say how long they are waiting for a reply.  I will try to check the inbox more regulary!

question- would it be okay to do a one-time stream of your fansub on a site like rabbit? I've been slowly doing a rewatch of the anime/movies and I've been streaming it for anyone who wants to join me, and i'd like to do that with the play if that's cool. If not, totally understandable!

Yes a stream on Rabbit is fine since you’re not reposting it anywhere and Rabbit can use an external source like Google Drive, for example.

Before this subbed version was made available for download it was streamed on Rabbit too.Let me know when you’re going to stream. Then I can announce the date or reblog the information on this blog too. It is really fun to watch it with other fans!

I finally did watch it, thank you again. It was pretty fabulous, in a word. The only issue I had was that I didn't like Miroku's characterization. He was a little too cartoonish and silly. It was really good other than that.

The backstage scenes weren’t subbed nor shared (yet).I am thinking, however, about sharing those and perhaps subbing them too. However it depends on demand, I suppose and my free time.

You can download the subbed version here [x]There are 2 download links, just in case if one of them fails. As I recall it is also possible to watch the play on one of the download link servers, incase you would just rather watch it instead of download the file. One 1 link will get give error, but even though you can’t watch it from the dowload server anymore, you can still download the play.

Why wasn't Shippo in the play?

This fact wasn’t given, as far as I know, so we can only speculate. One major reason for Shippo’s absence could be the rules that excists for childeren who act. If Shippo were in the play, he had to be cast by a minor. In that case you would have to obide the rules considering minors. 

The play has to be performed within a certain span of hours and there is time limit in the evening. 

For example in the Kuroshitsuji musicals they use minors to play Ciel. At one evening the kid had to leave early during the curtain call, because he wasn’t allowed on stage anymore. 

Acting is work and there are strict rules for minors that have a ‘job’. 

Childeren of course go to school too and they have to take this in account when performing in the evening and when they have rehearsals. 

Another reason is the story they want to tell within the limited time of 2 hours. Whether you agree in this or not, Shippo is a side character. To add him to the story would mean they would have to tell his story too. And in truth his  story and even his presence isn’t really neccessary for the main plot. With or without him, the story remains the same in most.
