"average primarch grows 3 mechadendrites each year" factoid actually just statistical error. Perturabo, who lives in medrengard & grows over 10,000 mechadendrites each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
This is perhaps my new favorite video
just a fun little budget diy project
A machine spirit that only awakens to the sound of "caramelldansen".
When I was in my teens, I used to make an entire magic system with 900 unique spells, ordered in magic schools and categories, and it boggles my mind that I basically reinvented DnD mechanics, even down to metamagic.
I wanted to make a wiki about it but I don't have time for it.
The point was to try to encompass every "superpower" I could think of into a magic system.
I even got lore related to it all, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna simply reuse it all for OC worldbuilding. Ngl the fun part was naming all the spells, symbols and coming up with the logic of it all. Edit : Due to popular demand, I'm making the wiki now yay. There's even more sigils done now >:]
After almost a year of brainstorming, coding, designing, writing and drawing, I am proud to announce that the magical system wiki I was working on is finally ready to open to the public !
You can check it out here !
World Anvil is a worldbuilding community and collection of tools for authors, role playing games storytellers and worldbuilding
The writing part is done, and I've done enough spells to provide an example for each element. The goal is to fill up that huge array eventually! >:]

curseforge the modding tool supports and funds israel
curseforge is owned by overwolf
for Minecraft players, Modrinth is a functionally identical modloader and can even import Curseforge modpacks as well
Discover and publish Minecraft content!
alternatively there's also Prism, altho i advise this more for people /creating/ modpacks rather than just using them casually -- but it can also download from both Curseforge and Modrinth

[Image ID: Tweet from pea poopingirl @/PoopingIRL on 8/14/23 - i think the idea of a shady dwarven salesman selling "cheap" stuff to humans and laughing to himself like "heh it will only last one generation, those stupid idiots, how will they even pass it down to their kids" forgetting that one dwarf generation is like 4 human ones is funny. There's a black bar at the bottom with an iFunny watermark in the corner. End ID.]
Elf ea-nasir selling mithril armor that will last no more than 1,000 years getting death threats from his fellow elves but doing numbers w/humans
Actually, I really like this idea as why elven and dwarven crafts are so good. Something that’s merely acceptable is meant to last most of one of their lifetimes. So even a mediocre dwarven craftsman will make something a human can pass down.
And you can always sell what the apprentice makes while still learning to a human, letting them know it will merely last for the rest of their life.
The elven version of IKEA could be a human family heirloom.
'Good enough for humans' becomes an expression for 'you're getting there' for an apprentice.
Why do people keep saying Monopoly isn't the right board game for people hoping for a cooperative horror game? There's no rule that says "You may not make sweeping changes to play this as a cooperative horror game", and therefore, it must be perfect at it?
And when you think about it, we already know how to play Monopoly, so it would just be so much more effort to actually learn to play a cooperative horror game. Anyway, after this experiment I have come to the conclusion that cooperative horror games are actually bad and not something that can actually be done in the medium of board games (by which I mean Monopoly).
Paths of Past Lives (classes & lore)
Yeah sure 🫡
Not exactly a weird thing but a remarkable thing to me that in older editions of D&D intelligent magic swords were quite common. They were still a big deal, like you wouldn't expect every fighter and their dog to be running around with a sword that whispers evil secrets to them in their sleep but it was such an integral part of early D&D that them having become much rarer sticks out. D&D could've been the Magical Swords Game, but for understandable reasons they leaned towards "intelligent magic swords should be quite rare." And don't get me wrong I do get why, but I don't know I think every campaign could benefit from a cool intelligent sword. Especially if the game gives a buncha tables to roll for that sword's abilities from
Baldur's Gate 2 had an intelligent magic sword and as an impressionable teen that rewired my brain! That sword was like having an extra party member who occupied an inventory slot! It had funny lines about wanting to kill people!
even more importantly, lilarcor had funny lines about how he was not an axe and he'd be mad if you used him to chop wood
He was so awesome
if they made Baldur's Gate 2 today they'd have Lilarcor ask to have she/her pronouns and insist she COULD be an axe, if she wanted, because of woke
She would insist on being called "the ol' battleaxe." Because of woke.
she would make you immune to charm and sleep spells.
Because of woke.

eeesh 😬 advice? i don't know lad, this is a little above my pay grade. i mean, a hydra? i really just fought humans most of the time. a river once i guess. but that was a fluke. what im saying is you're doing things i could have NEVER done at your age ❤️ which also means i have no idea what advice to give you. what's important is that i love and support you always and believe in you.
odysseus in hades 2:
yeah basically if you stay in the bottom left corner of the map you should be good, there's less environmental damage you can take there but obviously if you're worried abt it, just triggering all the traps at the start of the fight never hurts. your build looks fine, i know everyone hypes up divine dash but tbh i don't think you need it for every run, it just helps to have. once you memorize the attack patterns the fight isnt that bad, pretty easy compared to the late game. here, have 100 dollars
Had to share this bit. Mostly for the last tag
Would a modern tank round take out an Astartes?
Would a NATO-standardised 120mm APFSDS/HEAT round take out an astartes?
Uh. Yes. Yeah. Yeah it would. It's a 120mm APFSDS/HEAT round.
