“Alright. Next time we meet I’ll give you the all access pass to my story. Sound good?” Hart replied smiling at her.

This was exciting. She would absolutely enjoy hearing his story. Oh, what tales he could tell her~. “Please do~. ♪” Seeing the town, she sighed. “It looks like we’re being cut short today. I enjoyed this a lot, Hart. Thank you again for coming to my rescue~.”

Hart smiled at her. She did have quite an amazing smile. Very graceful. He thought in general she was a graceful person.

“Well I’ll look forward to it.” Hart replied with a smile. Her town should be nearing soon, probably just a turn or two away.

“I hope you do! I’m sure we can find plenty of things to talk about.” Iris chuckled. “Honestly, I think our entire time here, we’ve talked more about me than we did of you. I’m a bit disappointed by this. After all, I absolutely adore to hear everyone’s story.”

“Of course. Come by when ever you’d like.” Hart replied. They were only 30 minutes away from Oak Tree Town now, and should be nearing it quite soon.

“If you’d like mail me ahead of time. I’ll prepare a meal for your arrival.” He replied handing her a small card with his address on it. “And feel free to send me some mail. I always love sending mail.”

Iris took the card and fingered it slightly. “Hm... Mail, hm~? I must be sure to give you my direct address. Most of my mail goes through my editor and agent. It takes them forever to get to me.” She smiled. “I shall remember to send along a message to alert you of my arrival~.” ♪

Interview (Tina/Iris)

Her notes arranged the night before, she had been doing last minute organisations of the line of questions which she had set out for the author she had invited all the way from Oak Tree Town. A knock on the door alerting her of her guest’s arrival, she moved all the papers to the side, picking up the sheet of questions before hurrying down the stairs.

Shoes clacking against the wooden steps, she opened the door, inviting her guest inside. “Welcome, Miss Iris! I hope your journey here wasn’t too tiring..But ah! Come right in~ Sorry it’s a little messy, I haven’t had the time to clean up recently.”

Hand extended out to shake the other woman’s, she had her usual bright grin on her face. Her expression showing the excitement she had of interviewing the author before her, her own admiration of the composer held down for a different time.

Seeing this girl reminded Iris of Lillie. Lillie was certainly as cheerful as the one before her. Iris knew upon their call that she would enjoy her company. She was glad that she wasn’t wrong.

Iris smiled at her and shook her hand. “It’s wonderful to meet you, Tina~. ♪ I’m quite happy that you live here in Echo Village,” she said, stepping into the home. “I have been meaning to pay a visit for quite some time and this encounter has helped me succeed. So, in that case, I must thank you for such an honor~.”

She chuckled. “My journey was quite wonderful, but I hope you are enjoying your day, hm~?” ♪

[Smiles as though he’s just been told he’ll be taking medicine as soon as he reaches the top of the stairs.] … wonderful. How reassuring, it sounds very lovely and not at all threatening.

[Blinks, smile drifting down with his shoulders at Mistel’s supposed repeat of his words. There was the medicine. Falters, mouth open with indignation.] What– heavens no, that wasn’t my intention. I would never, I wouldn’t dream of it–

[Sighs through his nose in a huff, brow set as he squares his shoulders up again to continue up the stairs with his indignation in tow.] I assure you, Iris– I know I am late, but really. I took far too much care in choosing your gifts to be leaving them and not see the two of you actually enjoy them, that’s the only reason I am so late– [Glances to Mistel with his mouth turning more to one side briefly, mildly annoyed at the look the younger man had given him. So wickedly smug.] But if you’ll both prefer to liken me to a Scrooge and wound me in such a way, I suppose I could keep them until next year and prove you correct.

[He backs out of the doorway a step as Klaus advances, giggling like a child who’s just made a dog on a leash mad by wagging a bone out of its reach. Laughing harder the more annoyed Klaus seems.] You say that now, but that wasn’t your tune a few moments ago! You even went so far as to say Christmas was, what? Just another day of the year? Awful, awful, and now, threatening to leave again—

[Abruptly, and brightly, in a tone that doesn’t at all match his supposed heartache:] Shall I get you both some wine? ♪ I’ll let you do the honors, Iris, my Christmas spirit is far too damaged to even go near the tree to fetch our presents, right now. ♪

Why, Klaus... It is the next year~. We are no longer in the year that last Christmas has fell on, don’t you agree? ♪

*Taking a step to the side, she crossed her arms, her pout ever growing in size.* Just another day of the year? Can this truly be what you said, Klaus? I am quite heartbroken by these word, I feel as if you have told me this yourself!

*She placed a hand to her cheek, tsking and shaking her head.* Please do fetch the wine, Mistel. I shall take this weight on my shoulders and fetch them right away. Perhaps that wonder delicacy we purposefully picked out for our special occasion will numb the ache I feel. To think we refused to open it until our dear Klaus was safe at home with us. What fools are we~.

The horsed seemed to reply with a small sort, almost saying “thank you” in her own way. Hart smiled and leaned back, only keeping a loose hold on the reins.

“Just so you know, we’re about to pass Echo Village. Right there.” He motioned pointing to his village. “That’s where you can come when you’re free. I’ll make sure to meet you somewhere in the village. If anyways, find Dunhil and he’ll find me.”

Iris looked off to where he pointed to. It did look quaint, almost how Oak Tree Town looked. She knew she would love it there. “I shall definitely remember this, then. Be sure to expect me sometimes soon~.”

“I put them on the barn. People often walk by my farm so they see them all the time.” Hart explained.

“Remember, Viri is the hero. I couldn’t carry you on my shoulders. I’d ruin your dress.” He replied with a chuckle of his own.

“That sounds beautiful. I hope to see it.” Iris chuckled. “I wouldn’t appreciate it as much, I’m afraid.” Smiling, she leaned forward ever so slightly. “Thank you, Viri. You are truly my hero~.” ♪

[Groans from downstairs for a moment, trying very hard to keep it inaudible as he grimaces behind his hand - eyes staring at the stairwell Mistel had fled up, unsure how to feel in this exact moment as both blonds began calling him up.]

… [Sighs through his nose, rubbing the bridge of it for a moment before alighting a small smile, grabbing the two boxes again and starting up the stairs.] You’re both a regular set of sirens, you know. Even as exhausted as I am, how can I resist.

[Smiles with an abashed pause as he sees Iris appear. And reddens a moment at the continued reminder of holiday cheer - hesitating awkwardly before holding up the two gifts as a peace offering.] Yes– hello, Iris. I’d love to, though I might not stay too long. It was a long trip home of course–

[Turns at the top of the stairs, making a point to stand behind his sister - smiling down at Klaus with the wickedest, toothiest smile he can manage.]

He came all the way here from this “long trip”, and with presents, no less— and he meant to simply leave them here for us to open ourselves! Without him even here to watch! [He tuts, folding his arms behind his back.] Tell him he’s wicked, Iris. ♪ Tell him he’s an awful Scrooge, not a drop of holiday cheer and glad tidings toward men in him.

Sirens, you say~? ♪ Well, fear not. We will not be dragging it off to your inevitable doom too soon. We shall let you enjoy our company for a few moments before you perish. Doesn’t that sound like a lovely idea~?

*She looked back at her brother before looking back at the now stalling man.* Do my ears deceive me, Klaus, or does my younger brother speak the truth? You dared imagine just dropping your gifts to us off like that? *She rest the back of her hand against her forehead.* Goodness, me! Mr. Scrooge, have you no care for us? Have you truly forgotten the meaning of Christmas and dare to shun those who care for you? It breaks my heart...

[His voice is sing-song on the steps, all mirth and amusement as he calls up to his sister.] Iris! Mr. Klaus is here, with gifts for us! Yell down to him and tell him to come upstairs, won’t you? Tell him we’ve got gifts for him, too, won’t you?

[Mistel’s smile was wide and wicked as he peeked around the corner and into their shared flat.] I told him we’re absolutely appalled at how long it took him to come home after the holidays, and how miserable it is that he made us wait so long to enjoy his company. ♪

*Immediately, she’s sitting up from her desk, looking at her brother as he arrived.* Goodness, is he now? Now, you must remind me about who this Mr. Klaus is. He isn’t that fine man who lives around the corner from us, is he? He moved away if I’m not mistaken~.

*She made her to the top of the stairs, her hands on her hips.* Mr. Klaus, so you claim to be~, please come up and let us chat over some tea and leftover holiday cheer. ♫

Interview (Tina/Iris)

Walking to Echo Village took longer than iris thought it would. The snow wasn’t too bad, but in her dress, it made it a bit difficult. If only there were machines that would clear dirt roads of snow. It would be much easier than. Of course, she did her best with what she was given, stepping in foot prints of people long since past. It did little to help, but it was better than nothing.

When she finally reached Oak Tree Town, she was thrilled to see the little amount of snow on the ground. In a way, it looked a little bit like how Oak Tree Town did, but with it’s own unique look. She adored it, though. Iris took he card out of her wallet again, reading the address of where she had to go. Interviews were never a difficult thing to do for her, unless it required her physical appearance on a talk show. At that point, she knew she would be assaulted by all the make-up officers of their branch.

She pushed that thought away as she made her way through town. This wasn’t going to be like that at all. It would be much different, she was sure. Reaching the house, she knocked on it a few times, waiting patiently for her interview to arrive at the door.

“Yup. That’s his name. Wait….” Hart looked at her face, then tried bringing up Mistel’s. Yeah, he could see the resemblance. They did look quite a bit alike. “I’m surprised I didn’t see the resemblance earlier.”

Hart mused, keeping Viri on a straight course.

“Well when you come by I’ll show you the decorations I bought.” He offered ot her. “The town loves them.”

Iris chuckled, covering her mouth with the tips of her fingers. “It’s not often that people don’t make the connection. Perhaps it is because you were too busy being a hero to me, hm~. However, I would love to stop by and see what you did with the decorations. I’m sure they look lovely in your town.”

“Then I won’t.” Gaius said with a smile, blushing faintly at the sudden action, before relaxing. This was a date, so why not enjoy it to its fullest? With a chuckle, he replied, “I’m sure there are.” They did just meet after all, it was going to be fun to learn who she was and were she came from, not to mention whatever other stories she had to tell– she already seemed to be one who was more than willing to share a couple. “I heard the best places to watch the stars are up high. Should we head up to one of the small hills and talk there?”

“Oh, please, let us. While we are walking, perhaps you can tell me about where you are from, hm~? I have such a fond interest in where my companions come from~.” ♪ Oh, she did hope it was in the magical place like Tori’s. After all, she had heard that many people traveled to and fro from such a land. If Iris could, she would meet them all, jotting down notes about their lives, interviewing them and appreciating every syllable that came from their lips.

“Sure. It’d be more than my pleasure. You were great company while we rode together. Well while we are riding together.” He corrected smiling at her. “I know the town you live in actually. I bought some winter decorations from a boy who owns an antique shop there. Nice guy.”

“I’m very glad to hear that.” Iris smiled. Oh, did that happen? To think that Iris must have been wrapped up in her little world upstairs to know of Hart’s business in the shop. “You’ve met my little brother Mistel, hm? I’m glad that you were pleased with him~.” ♪

“I won’t be lonely no. I got Viri.” Hart replied smiling. “But yeah it’s pretty close. Maybe thirty minutes at max. It’s really not too far at all. Promise. If you ever want, you can come by any time.”

It certainly wasn’t a bad idea. She was jumbling around in her head about when she would go ahead and visit. Perhaps she could bring Mistel along. It would be nice trip to take. A break from the store and writing couldn’t hurt either, no? “I shall definitely think about it. Perhaps you will see me sometime soon~.” ♪
