DID YOU KNOW it is now afternoon so i can talk more about the glass delusion. so back in the day, when glass was the HOT NEW THING ! and a status symbol to have, rich people were really excited about it, but also really scared. glass doesnt behave like anything in the natural world, and when it breaks, it can shatter into tiny pieces that go everywhere, you know.
so for rich people with mental illnesses, specifically ones that caused psychosis, they observed this new unknown thing and internalized and warped it into being part of them.
some notable examples of people with the glass delusion are: a mad king (a henry i think) who thought his whole body was glass and often refused to move from his bed, wear certain clothes, or let people get near him, a princess who thought she swallowed a glass piano as a child and refused to go many places or go through small corridors for fear that it would break, and a man who thought his butt was glass and couldnt sit, lay down, or anything else of the sort (including the bathroom) because he thought it would break.
the same idea of the glass delusion is still around today, just in the fear of new technologies and the unknown, like people who think they're constantly being listened to or have microchips under their skin.

DID YOU KNOW during the middle ages, many upper class people had a 'glass delusion', where they believed some or all of their body was made of glass? it heavily affected their lives ! the most common theory as to why it was only rich people is because most common or lower class people couldn't afford glass, and didn't know what it was !
