Send me “Flash Forward” for a brief snippet of an event that will occur in my muse’s future.
Or send “Flash Back” for a snippet in my muse’s past.
The foggy weather in Cyrodiil gives me life.
"Who can know the mind of a wolf?" ~ironbind
“I wouldn’t know. I think you would, Wolf-Heart.” A small smile was visible on the warrior’s lips.
A quiet laugh sounds from Jackal, the softest grin playing at her face before it drops back into solemn concern.
“Right,” is all she says at first before her brow creases harder. “But really, Kai. You’re in danger for the next few days, hope you know that.”
The nord’s eyes were practically glued to her feet, listening only to the rhythmic plod of boots against worn stone.
“Bloodmoon tonight, moon full enough to awaken beast blood for about a day or two after.” Jackal smiles again, brows knit together as she adjusts her satchel. She glances up at the dusky night sky, eyes narrowing at Masser’s ever growing presence on the horizon. “It’s— like having someone else in your head, if that makes sense. Demons on both shoulders. All pack-pack-kill-kill. If I start… If I start attacking you, I want you to run as fast and hard as you possibly can, alright?”
“You can guarantee I will.”
The Tsaesci looked up towards the ascending Masser, curiosity piqued at what he should be dealing with in the coming hours. Lycanthropy wasn’t exactly a familiar subject with Kai; he’d only heard of the shape-shifting demons of his home, other than that, he knew none else.
“So, as a werewolf, you turn into a very large wolf, correct? How does it stop?”
Jackal sucked in a deep breath as a sharp pain rooted itself in her chest, heart thudding unevenly as her tongue ran up against suddenly protruding canine teeth.
"You... Could say that. Large wolf in essence, yes." His second question made her think, forcing herself to try and ground herself from the pulse thumping in her ears. Inadvertently, she began to walk a little faster, brown eyes darting across the landscape in search of an alcove or a cave to stave off her exposure to the moons. "It stops when-- when the moons set? I couldn't name it exactly; some have such control over their affliction to change on command, and some..."
Another deep breath before she continues.
"Some DON'T change back." A long silence followed these words, the nagging of her heartbeat coalescing with the beast in the back of her mind. She rushes to add, "Of course, that only happens to those who---- Ah, i-it doesn't happen to me."
The nord lurched forward momentarily, a cold sweat breaking out across her skin as she bolted off of the road to a grove of trees. Her form thudded against the trunk as her breathing became halting, labored, hands shaking as she frantically starts pulling off her boots and gauntlets.
The skies of Keizaal are mine again!
