Unclipped Branch - Beginnings

Tony trusted Morgan but he still made it a point to check up on her every fifteen minutes at least. Pepper was doing dishes and had the view of the yard but she couldn’t be checking every two seconds so he’d go outside, play with Morgan a bit and just make sure she was okay and having fun. As soon as he opened the door, she jumped into his arms.

“Heya kiddo. Having fun?” He asked with a smile, not yet noticing anyone was there. 

“Daddy, there’s a pretty lady asking about you.” Morgan turned and pointed to Peggy. Tony looked up and his eyes went wide. Apparently Steves trip turned into a pick up as well as a drop off. He would give Steve crap for it later. 

“What did I tell you about pointing your fingers?” He scolded firmly. “Sorry.” The girl mumbled and hid her face in Tonys neck.

Tony was at complete loss for words. He never thought he’d see her again, she looks much younger than he remembered. His mouth opened to say something but immediately shut once nothing came out. After a brief moment, he finally composed himself and was able to speak. He needed to get Morgan inside so he could talk to both her and Steve to figure out what the hell happened. Somehow she didn’t seem to remember him, but that may have something to do with how young she looked. It was probably before his time. It was hard not to cringe hearing his fathers name. 

“Yes this is Morgan. I will introduce you both more formally soon.” He smiled proudly at his daughter. “Sweetie, how about helping out mom with the dishes?” He suggested, she nodded and ran inside once Tony put her down. Closing the door behind him he gestured towards the patio set on the deck. 

“Please take a seat and make yourself comfortable.” He offered politely. “I’d invite you in, but I would like to talk a bit first.” Tony explained awkwardly. 

“I’m Tony. Howards only son, though you probably would have never thought that because he never cared to treat me like one. Can I get you something to drink? Coffee? Tea? A juice box?”

“Depends on who that pretty person is.” Tony shrugged and paused for a moment.“My threesome days are over. It is much more enjoyable when I get all the attention.” Tony winked and leaned against the wall beside him.

“You know, come to think of it... Maybe directions to the subway would be great. That way you can fill me in on who this pretty person is that you’re talking about.” He smiled cheekily. “We can be like two teenage girls at a slumber party.” Tony teased once more.

When did things become so complicated? Too much had happened since nearly ten years ago and having to piece them together was real challenging, never mind trying to get Natasha to believe him. When she asked if he was kidding, he dropped his arms and shook his head slightly frustrated. 

“No I am not. I am telling you the truth Natasha. Why would I lie?” He asked with furrowed brows, his expression full of confusion. 

“Did Steve not explain anything to you? Why would you be here, in a completely different compound, why would I look older?” He asked. “It’s not some story to excuse my absence. I wish I could have made it back sooner, before it was too late.” He explained. Walking over to the bar, he picked up the TV remote and turned on the news channel that also had the current date. 

“See for yourself. I don’t know how to convince you otherwise.”

“I didn’t hit my head at all, just ask Thor. He found me there.” He sighed. This was going to be a challenge to explain. Even he didn’t fully understand how he landed up there. 2015. That would explain it. It’s been much longer than that. 

“Natasha, you’re not in 2015 anymore. It’s now year 2023. I guess Steve was just trying to fill the empty void..” Bruce frowned. “You and Tony both died in war. You both sacrificed your lives to save the planet. Things haven’t been the same so I guess when Steve went to return one of the stones, he brought you both back on the way. You’ve missed a lot, I don’t even know where to start.” He shook his head.

“But I’m glad you’re here, I missed you.” He smiled and pulled the red head into a hug.

Bruce was not normally an emotional kind of guy, he was angry most of the time but he wasn’t the type to open up too much to others. There were tears in his eyes, how could Natasha even be here? He had so many regrets but felt like he didn’t deserve the second chance. 

“Tony?” He asked, taking a step back to take a breather. Steve definitely did do something. The doctor was beginning to feel a little light headed, he needed to sit down again, but he wasn’t about to go sit at the bar again. Bruce was confused when Natasha mentioned him leaving, that happened years ago. 

“That was years ago, I crashed on Sakaar and became the Hulk for two years.” He tilted his head in confusion. “I couldn’t exactly contact you when the ship was destroyed and my phone had no signal being on another planet.” Glancing over at his arm, he realized he had aged quite a bit these last few years. That’s what stress can do to you.

“Natasha... What year do you think it is?”

Tony was hurt but not badly, it was something he could easily deal with. Bruce looked far worse and it terrified him. Now Tony felt responsible for this, if he didnt act so careless in the battlefield, he would have noticed and stopped what the doctor was about to do. 

Being this close to Bruce was a possible danger if the other guy were to appear but he didn’t care. He wanted his Alpha to know he was there by his side. He moved closer when Bruce tried to talk. He barely noticed that Thanos and his army had vanished and that it was now complete silence as everyone watched Bruce and Tony sadly. 

“Strange. I need y-” He was cut off by Strange suddenly appearing beside him.

“You have to save him. He needs to live.” Tony demanded, not bothering to even ask. “Please!” He begged, taking Bruces hand in his. “I can’t live without him.” The omega tried to hide his sobs to avoid showing weakness.

Tony continued to melt into the kiss, a small moan escaping his lips when Loki squeezed his ass. The omega could not help the blush that kept appearing on his cheeks every time he received a compliment from his Alpha. He had openly spoken about Howard many times to Loki and loved how he could easily make him forget about the things his father did. Though not permanently. 

“I can always get a sign saying ‘Property of Loki Laufreyson’ and wear it whenever I leave the room.” Tony teased, pressing a soft kiss against the Alphas cheek and proceeding with the removal of clothes. 

“Make me yours Loki. I want you.” The smaller man moaned, spreading his legs to give Loki more room to work with. His fingers running through the others dark hair.

Tony silently agreed with Strange through a smirk. It was indeed perfect timing, he figured he would never see the doctor again until the next crises came up. Apparently that was happening now. He looked around while the other man was peaking around him, paranoid that there was someone else around.

“I wasn’t looking at your body, in fact I was just admiring that wonderful face of yours.” He commented sarcastically with a playful grin. Making it obvious that he was messing around. “You look good.” The smaller man complimented with a nod.

“I should be fine. Really. Thank you. I can make my way around.” He was too polite to accept help, especially if Strange was in the middle of serious business.

“I hope you and your pretty person have a wonderful time tonight. You should stop by the tower sometime and say hi, the company is appreciated.”

Bruce couldn’t figure out how he felt about Natasha joining him, he did however make an effort to not let his eyes wander. It had been so long since he’d seen a woman naked and he worried about the outcome, even if accidental. 

“So your shower breaks and you join in while it’s already occupied?” He teased as he scrubbed the shampoo out of his hair and shivered when the water became colder after it being changed. 

He picked up the new shower pouf and passed it over his shoulder to Natasha. 

“If you want to use it, I just got it. I can use my old one.” He offered politely. “I’d turn it around and hand it to you but I don’t think you’re going to want to see me like that.” He blushed. Truthfully, Bruce was insecure and on a team with Steve, Tony and Thor, he was skinny and didn’t exactly fit in with the rest.

I will be marking this blog as low-activity as my muse for Steve and Bucky over at @serumsoldiers is a lot higher. I love writing Bruce and Tony but have to be in a specific mood for it.

Bruce had no idea what the surprise was but it worried him. Steve was very daring and had a history of getting into street fights back in the day. Who knew what to expect from him. He stayed put as he figured Steve would be coming through any moment with this big surprise. 

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard his name, said in an oh so familiar voice. It couldn’t be. If it was, there was no way this was ending well. 

The doctor spun around in his chair to face at her, eyes widening as if he saw a ghost. She probably was a ghost. 

“Roma-Natasha.” He stuttered, looking around for any kind of hidden projector. She seemed real but he could not believe it. It had to be some kind of prank.

“How-What...” He shook his head, standing up and walking up to her, placing his hand on her shoulder to see if she was real. She was warm and definitely not a projection. There was no way this was possible, Bruce was in complete denial. 

“What did Steve do?”
