i love you like a feral animal
i need you like fentanyl
i am awake
sleepless and burning
and i am starving
because it isn’t enough to kiss you
or hold you
or fuck you
i need to devour you
flay your flesh
sink my teeth into your neck
like my stomach has withered
and my ribs are trying to escape me
tear every bit of meat from your bones
let your hot red wine glide down my throat
fill my belly, aspirate the marrow
you’ve turned me from a vegan to a carnivore
i need to split you open
from your gullet to your lateral
and there i would make myself at home
curl up comfy in the cavity
like you’re a bear
and i’m a hitchhiker caught in a storm
you’re my safe haven, my shelter
my childhood bedroom
heaven
you’re also my bad habit
my xanax, my liquor, my lucky 15
no one makes my sweat run cold like you do
i’m having trouble writing a poem altogether at once. i think it’s fun to think of lines without trying to think of them and rearrange them into a poem later. i am just trying to have fun with it. i want to improve my writing of course but is there bad poetry? it’s all for my own entertainment anyways. i want other people to enjoy it too, sure, but i want to make myself proud more than anything.
i wake up in a river of red. eyelids flutter, deep blood wine raindrops off the point of my lashes.
it’s so crazy how people on here just ignore the fact that emptiness is loneliness and loneliness is cleanliness and cleanliness is godliness and god is empty just like me
The Evil Dead (1981)
the sun shined on your colors, and a distasteful palette it was. an ugly bruise of black and blue that you kept exposed because you wanted your skin to tell a story, whatever the fuck that is supposed to mean. kisses that made the maggots under my skin try to escape. heavy breathing, saliva painting my nape. desperate but not in an inviting manner, felt more criminal and than loving. sometimes when i try to sleep i pray for time to reverse so the mirror could’ve never cracked.
winter
the time of year our words pierce the atmosphere and the sky comes glittering down around us. dirty soles crunch on the sugar dusted concrete. hands are linked together for warmth in every sense of the word. makes you feel like you get a second chance, that time slows down so you can get it just right. lick your wounds and get back up, because no one is around to stare.
Love Song for Two Vampires, Dante Émile
sometimes i think about that day it was raining. the only light in the room was just barely gleaming through the blinds and i’d let myself become one with the plush of your bed. i held your trembling figure and never felt more powerful, yet in the same breath i let you devour me. i thought about how depressing it was, how you’ll die if you aren’t the greatest. because you keep creating and nothing is ever good enough. it’s not good enough until they tell you it’s good enough. if you aren’t an artist you might as well be dead. i wish i was your mother. i wish we could’ve been friends.
