hello ! we wanted to create a blog just like @/is-this-plural, but the main difference is we are anti-endo !

the rules are that ! there are no rules, if we, as a medically recognized system, see that something could be plural, even if you have to squint, then we (and you, by proxy!) deem it so !!

we've gotten very VERY longwinded asks before and we absolutely adore and Heavily encourage them; especially on things we know nothing about ! gives us the full insight we need to properly rate if a character is plural or not
It has multiple souls in one entity which is offten how plurality used to be seen before mmore reserch was done but still It would be interesting.

there is no official lore reason that we can find for the souls being there, however theres also no evidence against viewing it as plurality
albeit magic and weird minecraft logic ensue; but they could be ~3 different consciousnesses in one being that transformed into something worse, so on one hand; not the best plural rep If plural and on the other hand i think its up to viewers interpretation of if the warden is plural
so im gonna say yes when its funny the warden is plural, but thats because im biased and the warden is sick as fuck <3

to be honest other than canon ones, (moon knight, perfect blue etc) we only have one !!
layla from genshin impact; she is not /canonically/ plural however; hoyo gave her a "sleeping disorder" in that when she "sleeps" she "sleepwalks" and "another layla" wakes up and does her homework for her (we rated her as one of our first posts btw!)
and this "other layla" is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PERSON. and because the other layla ALSO isnt sleeping, layla as we know her is so so sooo sleepy all the time!! bc when she tries to sleep, her headmate is like "nope! homework time, time to help layla!"
and there is little or no communication between them so within genshins canon seeing the difference between layla and "other layla" (i call her starr!! she calls herself other layla) is the closest thing to plural they will ever get
the traveler can talk to starr in laylas hangout quest during one of the endings, and theres a good handful of voicelines that you can go through that shows even the voice difference between layla and starr
i love layla as a character she is one of my favorites, and when we first started this blog i thought about having a layla layout instead of miku haha

tessa kind of fuses? with the purple slime girl (haha i dont rmr if she had a name </3) after some insane discussions about tessa's underlying feelings and rage and guilt and etc etc rip tessa,,
so as this sort of Goop Girl as they call her, fuels the fire that is tessa's feelings, eventually she suggests 'i can help you, you know' and tessa agrees leading to.. goop-tessa of sorts
so its not Quite plural but it also kind of is? i can definitely see where there's room for plural headcanons !
!! Rating: Holy Shit, there's so much to say about this one. Short answer; yes AND no.
SO. we've been binging this show since last week, and wow its a good show i recommend giving it watch !!
i will Try to keep this spoilers-free but, its still better to watch the first few episodes, then come back to read this post
the main concept of "severance" as a concept is purposefully splitting the brain, (via brain surgery) to make two separate consciousness, one for work, one for home.
this is where it already gets tricky; its purposeful, it's basically consensual on the "host's" part, but the headmates (or "innies" as the show calls them) did not want this, but now that they have a chance at life, albeit a boring 9-5 box office job, they're content. (this is a point towards 'not plural')
some of them find happiness some of them find love, some of them find purpose, because that's what people need, proving that the "innies" are fundamentally people. (point towards 'plural')
i think a lot of the show focuses on the terror of waking up without memories, the utter horror aspect of it, and usually i'm quick to jump to "well this is the writers using d.i.d as a horror trope" because most of the time it is. (point towards 'not plural')
with severance; the horror aspects of the show are Real Terrifying Plural Experiences. as a system watching this show was lowkey eye-opening because i can show it to singlets and tell them "this is what its like." then they'll have a better understanding of my system and by extension other systems as well even if on just a surface level (point towards 'plural')
a lot of the struggles and conflicts in the show are centered around the "innies"(headmates) disagreeing with the "outies"(hosts) goals and ideas, etc etc there's LOTS of conflict between the two and absolutely NO communication between the two. (point towards 'plural')
the company who they all work for, has MANY strict restrictions on the "innies" ability to do almost anything, they are there to work and that is it. "innies" cannot communicate with "outies" and "outies" don't want to communicate with their "innies"(Schrodinger's point. could be either.)
SO. long answer; there are many many MANY Experiences shown, that are Real to Systems, yes the show frames it as a "wouldn't this be fucked up?" scenario, but it Is real and it IS (albeit. maybe slightly less? fucked up?) in real life and in real systems
(i say slightly less fucked up bc i believe it is more flawed and miserable for a company to do that to its employees, given the (outies) employees agreed to it, its almost endogenic, in that the systems didnt form in childhood trauma ,, and "became" systems intentionally, which isnt how plurality actually works, point for 'not plural,')

I haven’t gotten around to the comics (my friend is gonna lend me theirs) but even just 5 episodes into the show I’ve cried numerous times over how well Jane is represented. From their inner world map, to the way they handle people around them, it’s beautiful.
Yes, there are things that are clunky and you may be put off because (major shock) they have super powers. But it never glorifies or makes their disorder a good thing. I’m not going to spoil anything, but if you have the time (and Max / a preferred pirating website) PLEASE watch this show.
As someone who has DID it is actually astonishing how much work both the writer of the original comics and the creators of this show put into making such an amazing character(s)
