An excited woman smiled happily as she walked to a nearby cafe with a book on under her arm, Dasom loved her job most of the time but she loved as well her days off in which she could have those moments were she could do anything she wished instead of following/setting up a schedule. And so, since it was one of those days, her heels were long forgotten by the livingroom back at home, those fancy clothes hidden inside the darkness of her closet as she wore simple comfy clothes such as tennis and big sweatshirts along with pants. Once inside and with her coffee in hand, Dasom sat down in an empty table, placing her “homely” reading glasses on before opening her book.
She heard a distant voice jolting her awake. Dasom wasn’t even sure how much time had passed when she opened her eyes, guessing she was more tired than she thought since she fall asleep while reading. Oh boy, she prayed she hadn’t embarrassed herself after all she had an image to keep at the company she worked on. “Hi…what did you just said?” She asked with a sheepish smile to the person who had just spoke to her, with red cheeks feeling already embarrassed
with a groan, ❛ ugh! ❜ jean scanned for the café he’d seen on this street dozens of times before, forcing his droopy eyes open. he still had an hour or two to kill prior to his shift and he needed a pick-me-up, s̲t̲a̲t̲. finally, he entered the small shop, ordered a drink and sat at a round table in the back.
one leg over his knee and a few sips later, his delicious mocha was no more, much to his dismay. on the upside, the caffeine buzzing through the man’s veins made him more aware of his surroundings, and his gaze gradually made its way around the room. it fell unto a middle-aged man animatedly speaking on his phone for a moment, before it landed on the person sitting at—or rather, sprawled over—the table just beside him. a fretful frown upon his face, he reached over to the stranger’s own drink, using the temperature to try and gauge how long she’d been here.
❛ ...your coffee is cold, miss. ❜ the boy spoke gently as he leaned slightly closer to her table, in hopes of earning her attention. it works, somehow, her eyes slowly opening. he couldn’t contain the amused smile that then spread across his phizog, an awkward titter leaving him as he answers the half-asleep woman’s query. ❛ uh. i said, your coffee is cold. been here for about fifteen minutes and you haven’t moved an inch. ❜
