Two things Iāve noticed about Jinx;
She never calls Silco ādadā - but she refers to Vander as ādadā twice. Once when she mentions to Vi that heās āher father tooā and again in the last episode, she directly says to him ādad?ā
One thing I always was a little sad about was the idea that Jinx saw Silco as more of her father than Vander - but now Iām wondering if she EVER truly saw Silco as her dad. I mean, she never once refers to Silco as such.
Many people, including Silco, refer to Jinx as his daughter but never him as her Dad.
I do wonder if itās due to Jinx, while clearly caring a lot about him, not viewing him that way OR some small part of her holding resentment to him because of how he killed Vander.
In addition to that; Jinx constantly refers to Vi as her sister, like ALL the time. In almost every sentence, she calls Vi āsis,ā sometimes affectionately, mostly as a more of insult. But she says it at least on 7 seperate occasions in season 2 alone.
Aside from 1.03 where Silco first takes Powder in and she says that Vi is ānot her sisterā anymore, Jinx NEVER claims that Vi is no longer her sister.
Vi does. Multiple times in season 2, she says Powder is gone and that Jinx is not her sister. She says it to Caitlyn and to Jinxās face herself.
Itās super interesting to me that while Jinx clearly tries to separate herself from her past and from Powder, the girl she used to be, she still clearly see Vi and Vander as her family. Sheās always been Powder, thatās never changed.
Jinx has tried so hard to kill that part of herself but as long as she still views Vi as her sister, Vander as her dad, she is never going to be rid of her younger self; the girl who only wanted to protect her family.
And thatās not even touching the subject of Ekko; the only person from her past that has fully accepted her as both Powder and Jinx and loves her anyway, the only person she has not been able to bring herself to kill, the only person who never once appeared as one of her hallucinations. As such, the only person aside from Isha who she never seemed to hallucinate around.
Anyway this is just me rambling.
