i think i want to learn this off by heart
I think that it's important to like stuff, cause we spend a lot of time thinking about things we don't like. Whether its the world ending, or inequality, or sex and the city. We often just accept the things that we like, and complain a lot about the things that we don't like. But if we could, like, intensely dwell on the really great things in life the way we intensely dwell on the negative things in life; I think that would be fantastic.

Maybe it did take a crisis to get to know yourself. Maybe you needed to get whacked hard by life before you understood what you wanted out of it.

D.C. policeman Bill Norton measures the distance between women’s knees and the bottom of their bathing suits at the Tidal Basin bathing beach in June 1922. That summer, the superintendent of D.C. public buildings and grounds ordered that suits not be more than six inches above the knee.
Let’s hope Officer Norton isn’t in Rehoboth Beach, Del., this weekend…
i want to help people say things. and i want to hear things that people say. and i know that sounds simple. i want to help people gain the ability to think outside of themselves and extract themselves from their own lives and into other peoples because when you extract yourself from your own life and into other people's lives, you extract your future from yourself and into other people's lives and you get a collective future with other people, and that's when things start to hopefully get the hell better!

i just got a book from the library called la france vue du ciel and there is a page about la rochelle described as follows:
Tout y est beau, tout y est harmonieux: les remparts, les tours, les ruelles, les arcades, les passages secrets, les porches voûtés, les petites maisons médiévales, les nobles hôtels du XVIIe siècle, le vieux port, la couleur des toits, des murs, du ciel.
this is exactly, exactly how i was feeling one day. i took this photo to try and capture it, the blue blue sky, the white of the buildings and the orange of the roof. it didn't work, the picture just couldn't take it all in.
suck on that, hamilton haters

lol, this is actually my 'job'.
Never get a plain chocolate crepe thinking it will be as good as a Nutella crepe.
That is all.
Above all, remember: don't get discouraged. The time immediately following school is one of those sneaky times no one warns you about where you're not quite sure what to do. Enjoy where you are and get excited about taking that next step.
RELEVANT Magazine - The Not Going Back to School Guide
Some of the young twentysomethings I talk to are already bogged down in student loan debt, just out of college and working a low-income job that hardly pays the bills. Not exactly a great way to start a career, is it?
RELEVANT Magazine - Budgeting Is a Virtue
The first 3 comments on this page sicken me. What disgusting ignorance & complete lack of human compassion. If you opened your front door & found a starving child upon it, would you tell them that you will not give them food because they never should have been born? Or because of the decisions of the political leaders of their homeland, that they must now starve to death? Only fools think they can distance themselves from famine & disasters by burying their heads in the sand and saying "Its not my problem". It -IS- our problem. And it's only getting worse. If we continue to do nothing about it, the day will come when there IS widespread terminal malnutrition on our home soil. For the love of planet Earth, help them. Donate to Oxfam. If you won't go save a life yourself, help fund an organisation that will do it for you. Then wax lyrical to your pampered heart's content.
