HUNTER MELLY FINALLY ARRIVES INTO THE MANOR: Players are having mixed emotions from the design.

During the long awaited Identity V reveal livestream that was hosted 2 weeks ago, Identity V players have been on their toes for the reveal of the hunter counterpart of survivor Melly Plinius or also known as “Entomologist”. When it was revealed, players showed signs of disappointment or had the feeling of being led on by the design preview that was shown months before the official design release. 

Identity V has been advertised as a horror genre’d game, the player base has expressed their distaste for the given design, saying that the game has strayed far away from their horror aspect and focused on making their Hunter Persona’s conventionally attractive. This has also been said for another character named Norton Campbell also known as the hunter “Fool’s Gold” and the survivor "Prospector".

A reddit user from the r/IdentityV community has publicly shared their opinion and said that they were pretty hyped for the release but then was disappointed when they saw the whole body art and compared the design to another Hunter named “Sangria”. The user also expected that the design would lean more on of an human mutated insect rather than what was revealed.

 IDENTITY V RELEASES NEW SURVIVOR : LANTERNIST

Identity V, a game from the Chinese game company NETEASE has finally announced new characters to the game. In recent events, during the Call of the Abyss VIII also known as COA.  Identity V has released a new female survivor Amanda Gaddis known as “Lanternist” with the male survivor “Escapologist” and hunter “Cueist”. Players have shown interest in the manor’s new survivor, making accounts and artworks dedicated to the character even going as far as to make their own prediction of their skills and abilities. While her abilities have been uploaded on the youtube platform, many have already been itching to get their hand on the manor’s new survivor. With the ability to freeze frame other survivors and herself and being able to counter chip damage hunters, players who are divided in Hunter and Survivor factions have been intrigued by her. Survivors say that she’s going to be a broken survivor while Hunters say that she would be a hard counter.

During that, while the character was teased by the official account her design has captivated many players, with her steampunk design she had managed to lure in new players to the game. With that, many have already been excited for her essence teaser counting the days for the release and waiting for the concept and design.
