Matthew had no idea how she was going to react but to be fair, he did not expect that as a reply. He liked it though, appreciate it too. Seen Hailey like that, so mature about it. He held her hands to his, gently rubbing her hand with his thumb while she was talking. “Yeah” he tilt his head on the side when she spoke. “I kind of know that story. Well, part of it” he replied when she mentioned her ex boyfriend however Matthew could see how relief she felt letting it all out and he was glad that she was finally able to let that part of herself go. “I feel and I am fully over what happened in the past, I’m in a better place and have fully moved on from that part of my life. I just want you to know that” Matthew explained to her. His mouth dropped open a little when he heard her next words but soon it turned into a smile letting her finish her sentence. “You are right” he nodded. “We are both different, mature and I should really not keep my mind busy with the past and focus more on the present” he said. “And” the man gently pulled her closer to him, arms around her body. “I love you too” he finally told her.  

"Not my proudest moment” Hailey bit her bottom lip as she though about those days. She was so stupid back then, acting like a high school girl. “I don’t know why I was acting that way” she confessed. “Maybe because part of me knew that I would never feel the kind of love he had with her” that hurt her to admit, being a second choice was no ones perfect idea. “I’m just happy I pulled myself out of this situation” Hailey admitted with a smile. She was much better now, in a way better place in her life. She nodded while listening to him. “I believe you” she told him. “I can see it” she told him again. Looking at his reaction worried her for a bit but his smile made it better. However, Matthew not saying it back made her heart beat faster. She simply nodded with his next words, feeling anxious if she acted right before. When he pulled her closer to him, Hailey smiled and it only turned wider when he said the followed words. “Oh God, I thought you were never going to say it” she giggled before pressing her lips against his. “I love you” she repeated between their lips.

He looked over at her not able but smile. He was so glad to have her in his life. Glad to find a person like that. Like her. Matthew nodded as he heard her words. “You are right about that” the man agreed, she was right; he made some mistakes in the past but never again. He was the kind of person who never repeated his past mistakes but sometimes negative thoughts are haunting you. “I cheated on my ex girlfriend” he confessed to her.”And it was not accident” he explained to her. “I was there one hundred percent” he added. “I will never do it again but sometimes…I don’t know, I’m afraid” he looked over at her.

Hailey gave him her whole attention. She kept quiet because she wanted him to finish, let it all out and then she would take her place and spoke. It kind of hurt her to hear his past actions but Hailey could understand that he was a boy back then. And sometimes you act without thinking. “Well...” she gently took the cup of his hand and placed it on the table. “Matthew” she took both of his hands on hers. “I chased my ex boyfriend for two years straight trying to make him come back to me and leave his current girlfriend” she confessed with one breath relief that she finally said it out loud. -- “My point is..” she paused. “We make mistakes, stupid ones. Just like yours or mine” she continued “I know you are going to think about it in the present, there will be moments that it will haunt you but, it made you stronger. Wiser. A better man” she told him.  “I know you are afraid but I trust you and I love you” Hailey sealed her lips together realizing that it was the first time she told him. “I love you” she repeated “and you are making me a better person. I know I won’t make my past mistakes with you because it’s different now. I am different and so are you” she said.

The man chuckled softly with the blonde’s answer. His eyes followed his girlfriend figure dissappearing into the kitchen and then coming back with their coffees. “You are an angel” he smiled as he took the cup on his hand while looking at the woman. “Yeah” he replied to her before taking a sip from his coffee. “I’d love to” he said. “I know and I am really glad about that, hails” Matthew said. “I’m just” he sighed shaking his head. “Regretting some things I did in the past”.

Hailey grinned with her boyfriend’s words. “Thank you” she replied  taking a seat next to him, moving her body as close to him as possible. She knew something was in his mind, bothering him and the blonde wanted to be there for him. They were a couple. “We all have made mistakes in our pasts, Matthew” she spoke. “That’s how learn and grow” she added. “What happened in the past that bothers you now?” she asked.

Hailee was so excited for the gathering at the mysterious manison and she wanted to see who else was going to be there. She spotted her brother but she let him do his own thing. She started walking down the hallway around the mansion, she got tired after a while and found a sitting room. She kicked off her heels and leaned back on the couch as her eyes were wondering around the room. Hailee looked towards the doorway when she saw her standing at the doorway. If she was honest, she wasn’t expecting to bump into her at the party. Hailee looked at her “hey! What brought you to this room?” Hailee smiled as she asked her. @itshaileyb

Hailey gave to the brunette a warm smile when she saw her sitting on the couch, hoping she was not interrupting anything. “Hey” the blonde walked a bit closer. “If you want to be alone, I can leave” she stated.  – Hearing her question, the blonde shrugged. “I just needed some time away from the crowd” she answered. “And also make a phone call but there is no signal sooo...” she shrugged once again but then, Hailey shook her head. “What about you?” she smiled. “What brought you here?”
