CLASH OF TITANS → JARINA F2F
carinabellarosier:
[Carina could feel his stare on her as she made her way out but she forced herself to look forward, refusing to meet his heated stare with one of her own. He might be a Potter, James Potter worst of all, but he was attractive in some weird way she didn’t feel like analyzing at the moment. And she had a feeling if she were to stay one more minute she, or he, would find themselves with their back to the compartment door a little less clothing.
She walked quickly in her heels, her face devoid of any emotion as she peaked her head into compartments and asked their inhabitants if they were doing okay. The head girl badge displayed perfectly on her robes and giving the students no doubt on who their head girl would be that year. As she neared the compartment she usually called her own, a warm smile spread on her lips. The first smile of the day and probably the last smile if she had to deal with idiot Potter for longer than usual. Peaking into the compartment she rolled her eyes at the two blonde’s sitting far too close to one another, head dipped close to one another as they talked and stole kisses. “Ten points from Ravenclaw and Slytherin.” She called out playfully, leaning against the compartment door.
“Potter is patrolling too, don’t let him see you put your paws all over him cousin Malfoy.” She adviced before leaving her friends to their devices and began her trek back to the front of the train. The sight of James causing her to roll her eyes and the sound of his voice irritating her. Flicking the wand in her hand she watched as the firework extinguished.] “Impressive.” [She deadpanned]
"Like I'd try to impress you." [James snarled the word's instinctively, then noticed that the eyes of the students in the car were all on them, narrowed in confusion. It was his first dose of reality -- his first reminder that he and Carina Rosier were really going to have to spend this year working together if they wanted anyone at the school to take them seriously, rather than being at each other's throats. Gritting his teeth, James tried to change his attitude before the rest of the car noticed that something was amiss, too, and he looked like a total wanker on his first day on the job.]
"I mean..." [James looked around at the group sheepishly, trying to convince them that this was a totally normal encounter, and that he was in his normal good spirits, even with Carina around.] "Not with fireworks, I know that those aren't really your style. How about we, uh, go back to the Prefect's compartment and I impress you with all the essays I wrote over the summer for our NEWT level classes? A Head Boy's work is more than just making people follow the rules, after all, it's -- setting a good example! Like showing people how to light off fireworks safely, and um, doing homework."
[Smooth, Potter, he thought to himself, though it was possibly the least smooth he'd ever been in his whole life. Grinning, he watched as the rest of the compartment went back to what they were doing, and he looped his arm through Carina's, half-dragging her down the end of the train until they could find a little privacy.] "Look, Rosier, we have to find a way to tolerate each other." [He nodded towards an empty compartment, one that was saved for the Head Boy and girl, and he wrapped his fingers around his wand, ready to cast a spell to lock it up if she just said the word.] "And I personally think you'd be much more tolerable the less clothing you've got on. Say we give it a try and get some of this frustration out?" [He was ashamed to even propose it, but the way his hair stood on end around her, he was getting desperate, and this would hopefully do.]
