In this class, we gain a holistic understanding of what is required to be a successful graduate student and a master of your particular subject. Also understanding of what mastery means and how they can utilize this concept for their own personal development, establishing a deep connection with their academic discipline and developing professional leadership skills. This class was the step to my master's program journal.
Executive Leadership
In this class, we learned the qualities necessary to be an executive leader in today’s entertainment business field. We explored decision-making processes, power, and influence, mentoring, leading organizational change, negotiation skills, and investing in and managing relationships to achieve business goals. This class taught me about the nature and characteristics of leadership, oral and written communication skills, Address challenges and Create and publish a professional blog. It provided me an opportunity to assess their leadership strengths and develop personal leadership milestones.
Project & Team Management
This course will teach me how to turn ordinary groups of people into effective teams and also learn how to manage your very own project. The team development and strategic planning skills you will learn can easily be applied to any team, project, or industry, and will make you a valuable asset in your chosen field. This Project and Team Management course have two main objectives: learning the principles of project management, and explore the various factors of team management and creating a productive team. Things I've learned in this course are how to plan, schedule, and budget for a project.
Business storytelling & Brand Development
In this months course, we learn how to implement brand development strategies that help companies become icons within their industry. It covers the two main aspects of building a strong presence in the business and consumer market: storytelling and brand development. Also, we learned how to use storytelling principles to strengthen business and deliver a superior customer experience. Last we develop a brand identity for real-world business use.
Entertainment Business Finance
This course The Entertainment Business Finance Course focuses on the financial decisions and issues facing the entertainment industry professional. Also, we identify and evaluate entertainment business opportunities and projects using financial principles, while also learning how to raise the necessary finances to fund an entertainment company and/or project. I learned how to create, read, analyze, and present business and personal financial statements. Last, we learned to use Pro-forma forecasts, budgets, how businesses make money, solve issues involved in finding and securing financing.
Digital Marketing
In this months course, we learned how to coordinate marketing initiatives across online and offline channels and between desktop and mobile audiences. Also, the development of effective marketing plans that promote entertainment within a dynamic digital environment. We learned how to Identify digital trends and develop the skills to manage their own professional presence online. Last we develop a content strategy that incorporates a variety of content formats and forms of distribution and plan and coordinate marketing initiatives across a spectrum of marketing channels.
Negotiation and Deal-Making
This month course explores the skills needed to become a strong negotiator and deal maker through instruction in topics like deal-structuring skills, self-awareness, and negotiation skill development, tools, and concepts for negotiation preparation, negotiation and deal-making, role-playing, and critiquing the role-playing scenarios. Also, we tested our negotiation and deal-making skills (instead of our arguing skills), but these are essential skills in all facets of our life. Learning valuable negotiating lessons in the entertainment industry, analyze and synthesize principled negotiating techniques and Research prepare and organize a blog entry.
Product and Artist Management
This course Product and Artist Management addresses management issues and scenarios that apply to artist management and gives students tools and strategies to help resolve these issues. Also, we Defined product and talent/artist management roles, functions, and responsibilities using industry sources to research trends in entertainment, product development, and innovation. I am now able to expand my professional network through interviews and/or research of industry leaders after taking this class. Last, using experiential approaches and new learning technologies that will enable students to communicate effectively and share their perspectives.
Advance Entertainment Law
This course explores advanced topics related to entertainment law, with an emphasis on entertainment contracts and intellectual property protection. Also to understand the impact of entertainment law on their specific entertainment field and examine how evolving trends are affecting the way contracts are structured within their respective industry sector. I learned how to identify and assess legal liabilities within the entertainment industry and create strategies to reduce or eliminate these risks. We also learned how to fill out registration forms to launch a business, and research, organize and prepare a case assessment.
Entertainment Media Publishing
This course examines current requiring the application of problem-solving techniques Students in this course are placed in real-world scenarios are currently affecting media publishing and distribution. Applying real-world scenarios to solve problems with publishing and distribution. Also, we created a Draft an industry-standard query letter. Using industry sources to research and locate an appropriate agent to shop creative content to publishers, record labels, and production companies.
Business Plan
In this course, we draw our business, management, and technical knowledge to create and develop a formal business plan. This course is pretty much self-explanatory we just critic our business plan more and make them more informational and presentable for investors. This course helped me to make my business plan more professional for investors to understand exactly what I am trying to do with my business. Last, we explain our business industry trends, target market, business venture, marketing plan, operations/management, and sales strategy.
Final Business Plan
My last and final class is a summary of what I have learned in classes and what I have applied to my business plan to get investors to want to invest their money in my business. In this final course, we completed our written business plan and present the plan to on a recorded Keynote presentation. This class we completed the financial statements with the income statement, start-up costs, and the sources and uses of funds statement needed in a business plan.
