Guinness: Sapeurs

They have done it again!

Guinness made one of my favourite and most inspiring adverts with their guinness basketball advert. Creating an emotional experience of friends playing a game of disabled basketball as one friend could not walk. The advert is heart warming and has kicked off their line of inspirational ads. With 8 million views in 4 months they really tapped into our emotions and in turn received and extremely positive viral campaign.

But they have just come out with this new advert. It is so impressive, when you break it down you have this emotional feeling of your own power as a Man or a Women to live your life how you want. It is extremely inspiring but the fact it has this social currency of the Sapeurs which I doubt many people have not heard of their story. The desire to share something which is just bizarre different but cool is the basis of most viral campaigns and Guinness have again found something bizarre crazy and cool.

The best part of the advert is how anyone can relate to it. How what ever your job is you could be in this group of amazing people from Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo. Wealth, Status or power does not coming into this group its just a way of living know matter where you come from.

And frankly they have some amazing suits!

I am looking forward to their next Advert lets hope they can keep up the trend.

elvis and kresse is an incredible little company which took an environmental problem of waste fire hoses and turned them into some of the most beautiful products around. This product is extremely remarkable and stands out with the history and feel of the material. 

The product is truly fascinating and feeling the history behind where the material had been before makes it rather magical. When I first heard about this brand its uniqueness and strong story made me want to spread the word. Their are very few clothing brands which create this passion to share and with environmental clothing starting to grow I am sure this brand will become even more successful.

Hidden in the east village of NYC their is a bar which has never advertised, has no signs outside and is classed as the worst kept secret in New York City.

Please Don't Tell is a unique bar hidden inside a restaurant called crif dog. Over in the corner is an old fashioned phone booth but as you pick up and dial a charming voice appears asking for your reservation. Then magically a door opens in the back of the booth and a relaxed style bar appears in front of your ideas. Now thats is a story worth spreading.

This little bar is fully booked every evening and reservations run out 30 minutes after their phone lines open at 11am.

Everyone knows as soon as your told a secret you are desperate to pass on the information, be the first to spread the news and PDT has utilised this perfectly. They have created a social currency which makes people desperate to talk about them and the fact finding information about them is so difficult with their website being a simple image your curiosity runs wild.

Share a Coke: The summer we swapped our name with yours

Coca Cola is an incredible brand which defines the start of christmas but over the summer of 2013 Coke produce one of the best marketing campaigns I have ever seen. 

The ability to use individuals names as a way to bring people closer to the brand sparking a viral internet campaign.

There have been countless Facebook posts of friends clutching a plastic bottle with a gleaming smile of pride. Sharing it with everyone they know. The idea of having your name anywhere is heart warming but put it on the bottle of the most popular soft drink in the world and you get a remarkable marketing campaign which goes viral.

The key to this successful campaign came down to the emotional desire to share this pride of having your name on this plastic bottle and the fact it was so visual anyone holding a bottle of coke had someones name written all over it.
