You have to focus on the most wonderful relationship you can have: the relationship with yourself. It is not about being selfish; it is about self-love. You need to love yourself, and the love within you will grow and expand within you. Then when you enter a relationship, you don’t go into it because you need to be loved. It becomes a choice. Once you love yourself, the truth of the person you meet will be clear. You don’t have to convince yourself that they are something else. Because you don’t need their love.
