the estimated cost for one child's winter coat is $43, and there are 30 children in the camp in need of clothing, bringing us to a total goal of $1300. one of our team members will be contributing $100 and covering the bank fee, which lowers the amount we need to fundraise to $1200.
this is the second of 3 campaigns, aiming to raise $400 to buy clothes for 10 children.

with the winter rains coming, ahmed and his team would like to create waterproof shelters for the recent influx of refugees that have been displaced to this camp. for only $120, ahmed's team can build a shelter for 1 whole family -- incredibly cost-effective and sturdy compared to the expensive tents in the market right now!
we did a similar project last winter with incredibly successful results, and are confident that we can deliver again.

hello everyone! as you may know, last month we raised $525 for shimaa's family to continue sheltering in their rented apartment. that time of month has come around again!
we have good and bad news. the good news is that the rent has been reduced by almost $100. yay!!! in addition to the fees for us to transfer the money, and for ahmed to withdraw the money, we are hoping to raise $445. the bad news is that we need to raise this money by february 25th, as it generally takes 3-5 days for the money to be transferred to ahmed.
if you can, please help us support shimaa and her family and provide them with shelter. as previously stated, many of her family members are disabled and it would severely impact their health to relocate on short notice and to be without accommodations. any and all extra funds will go to this family to purchase food, cleaning supplies, et cetera.

as some of you may know, gaza is suffering from repeated bombardment, famine, and now, attacks on aid distribution sites. people are struggling to afford basic necessities to survive.
we are hoping to help shimaa and her family purchase a bag of flour, which is currently extremely expensive. her family is large, and she has worked hard to provide for them - particularly her chronically ill nephew and her elderly grandmother. for a single bag of flour, the price is $1000, and the withdrawal fee from the atm in gaza is $45.

how it works:
our team, kfsf, collects funds raised by you all into the paypal donation pool linked above. then one of our team members transfers it to ahmed in gaza (who helps take care of shimaa and her family.) he receives it via wire transfer, which takes between 3-5 days under normal circumstances.
once the money arrives, shimaa will take videos and photos to document that the donations were received and able to help her get what she needs.

we are hoping to raise $445 in total - $400 is the base price of the rent, and then on top of that is a $25 transfer fee and a flat $20 withdrawal fee. we are hoping to raise these funds by june 30th, so that the family can receive the funds and pay rent by july 5th.
