@Sora, @Daisuke
Sora pulled her jacket off and placed it on the back of her chair. She had a pink sweater on underneath, a color she rarely wore, but she forgot to pack a lot of layers and left most of them at her apartment at school. The redhead left her hat on though, afraid that her hair would get messy upon taking it off.
"Yeah, I don’t remember it being this chilly last year!" Sora replied, keeping the small talk going. For not seeing her friend in so long, she couldn’t think of anything important to talk about.
"Nah, I don’t remember freezing my ass off everytime I went outside last year." Daisuke chuckled, tugging the neck of his t-shirt forward a bit and readjusting himself in his seat. He decided he wasn’t facing the cold again for as long as he could get away with, so he might a swell get comfy.
"So, how’ve you been?" He asked happily, "Feels like forever since I’ve seen you! Or anyone, really. Tell me everything!"
"Oh, there's not much to tell.." Sora responded, trying to find something interested to say. For the most part, her fall semester had been bleak. She'd managed to fully recover from her sprained ankle so she could play tennis this season, but if Daisuke had even remembered she'd been hurt, he must have noticed she was better by her lack of a limp.
Sora was sure Daisuke didn't want to talk about studying, and as far as her personal life went, even she had no idea what was going on. She settled on sighing and repeating her original point. "Yep.. nothing too interesting."

Sora wasn’t planning on eating by herself in a restaurant, but now that she’d found a friend, she wouldn’t mind getting a table. “Yeah!” She smiled, not bothering to explain. “Want to get a table?”
The redhead pulled off her gloves and stuffed them back into her coat pocket. Her fingers were still doing that thing where it took a long time to open and close them, so she rubbed her hands together and sniffled, still smiling. “I don’t want to go back out there again anytime soon.”
"Great!" Daisuke beamed, happy to have someone to eat with.Talking would also be a great distraction. He wasn’t used this whole "nervous" thing and the less he had to think about it the better.
"Sure, there’s a free one over there." He said, pointing as he began walking towards it. The redhead shrugged off his hoodie as he plonked himself down on the seat, tossing it over the back of the chair. "Tch, yeah, I thought I was gonna get frostbite out there earlier." He laughed as he leaned his elbows on the table.

Sora hadn’t noticed her friend inside before she walked in. The heat of the restaurant was a relief as she opened the door, her hands starting to shiver and her nose and cheeks tinged pink. All she could think about was how cold she was.
Then she saw him. He was leaned up all too casually against the counter of the ramen restaurant, but for some reason, she wasn’t surprised. Sora didn’t want to interrupt his conversation, but the man behind the counter had seemed to notice that she was eyeing the brunette and motioned towards her.
Daisuke raised his eyebrows but smiled widely at his friend, pushing himself up off the counter and striding towards her. “Sora! Fancy seeing you here!” He announced cheerily, not that it was exactly unusual to run into one of your friends in a popular restaurant in the middle of the city, but whatever.
"Are you eating in here?" He asked, knowing the place did take-outs as well. It’d be nice to catch up with her if she was staying.

A little while ago, Sora’s mother had sent her out on an errand. She was instructed to buy some sort of fertilizer, and after dropping it back off at the shop, the redhead was pleased to find out that her mom was letting her keep the extra money for dinner. Mrs. Takenouchi didn’t have time to cook, so Sora was glad she didn’t have to truly fend for herself tonight.
The sun had already gone down in Odaiba and the air was starting to get chillier. Remnants of snow from a storm a few days ago littered the streets, although most of it was dirty from all the cars that had gone by. The girl stuffed her hands deeper into her pockets as she looked at all the restaurants ahead of her. A few of her favorites were still open, but she was having trouble figuring out what to get.
To be honest, Sora was homesick for her favorites. Although it wasn’t far from Odaiba, being at school in a different part of the city made it difficult to get back. Perhaps she’d settle on her favorite ramen restaurant tonight… The lights were still on inside, and an eager growl from her stomach reassured her that it was the right choice.
It hadn’t taken Daisuke long to decide on his usual ramen restaurant, his feet had brought him there automatically, while he was busy thinking over the recital that would take place in just a few hours.
He leaned against the counter leisurely, chatting animatedly with the owner, who he knew always worked on Saturdays. “.. well, whatever it was, I ate it, and that was the moment I decided to never let my kitchen run out of food again. Food from under the bed just isn’t worth it, y’know?” He was saying with a lopsided grin.
The man in front of him laughed boisterously and nodded, evidently used to the boy’s mildly nauseating stories by now. “I’m guessing you’re having the usual, right?” He asked once his laughter had died down.
"You know it." The redhead replied brightly, turning to look for a free table once the man disappeared to relay the order to the chefs.
Daisuke was about to head to an empty table near the window, when a figure outside caught his eye. Was that.. Sora?

Daisuke huffed a little as he trudged down the street leading from his apartment complex. His hands were shoved deep into his hoodie pockets, as they always were when he was fuming slightly. He kicked hard at a pebble that had dared cross his path and sent it tumbling back into the decorative rock bed by the sidewalk.
The redhead took a deep breath, then sighed. His usual method for calming himself. He knew it wasn’t his mother’s fault she was missing today. Her sister had fallen ill with a pretty bad case of the flu and had asked her to call over and help take care of her kids. All three of said children were younger than Daisuke and from what he’d seen of them, they were a lot to handle while you were feeling perfectly healthy, so he could understand why she needed some help there.
Still, though. It irked him that his mom was going to miss his recital. The gogglehead had been looking forward to showcasing his new found talent, and now he’d be performing with his peers for no one. It bothered him, but he knew he had to get over it. There was no point in staying annoyed, it wouldn’t change anything.
Deciding that was the best way of thinking of things, the redhead picked up his pace, cheering up considerably. He wondered if he had time to grab something to eat before he had to get ready.
Figuring he did, he took a sharp turn onto the path that would lead him into town, already lost in thought about what he wanted to eat.

Sora had been surfing the internet when she heard the doorbell ring. It was about time to register for classes for the upcoming Fall Semester, and she was having trouble deciding which ones to take. Although she didn’t know who’d come over, Sora was appreciative of the surprise break.
Upon opening the door, she discovered Yamato on the other side, which made her feel a little less surprised. It wasn’t uncommon for him to show up unannounced.
"Hello?" She asked, raising a brow, not caring to hide her confusion.
"Ah, good, you’re home," Yamato said quickly after Sora pulled the door open. "Hey, glad you’re home." He added a smile.
"I’m sorry for coming over unannounced. I was just done running some errands, and I thought of seeing a friend… if you don’t mind, that is," the blonde told the girl, smirking.
"No, no, of course," Sora said, moving aside, "come on in. I'm not doing much of anything anyways."
That wasn't necessarially true, but whatever could stop her from being productive.
@Sora, @Yamato
"Thank you," the boy said to the girl at the counter.
He left the travel agency and walked out into the sun. The usual, he had his shades on. He wore a pair of faded black slim-straight denims and his usual black long-sleeved dress shirt with sleeves folded up to his elbows.
Yamato was used to travelling; be it near or far, or even across the globe, but this time, he wasn’t prepared to do any more travelling. He wanted and needed to stay. He had his reasons why.
Then, with nothing else to do, he decided it’d be best to meet up with a friend before he left the following week. An impromptu trip across the country was the last thing he needed at that time.
From his band mates, to his Digidestined friends, his mind stopped at the one person he’d always remember: Takenouchi Sora.
Without leaving her a text or a message on her voicemail, he slid into his car which was parked nearby the travel agency, started the engine and stepped on the gas, driving his way to his best friend’s apartment complex.
As soon as he reached his destination, he coolly walked into the lobby and took the elevator up. Yamato took his shades off the moment he stood before Sora’s door. The blonde took a deep breath and pressed the doorbell, hoping she was home.

"To the great Summer I see ahead." Tai raised his glass of beer and took a sip. “I’m not rich enough to go to fancy places to get a drink… yet." The brunette smirked, leaning his back against the counter.
Sora raised her glass and sipped her drink as well, but she wasn’t sure she could actually toast to the summer. The summer ahead of her was littered with days of physical therapy and tennis practice.
"Yet?" She asked, grabbing a napkin from the bar so she could blot her mouth. “You’d better start practicing football nonstop."
Tai squinted his eyes and stared at Sora’s small face. “You know I’m better than you. I’m the best player in town right now, you know? And Tokyo’s big as shit." He growled, but then elbowed her jokingly on the ribs. “I was thinking, once I got famous and rich I could treat you for a dinner but I guess I’ll take Hikari…" he sighed dramatically.
Sora rolled her eyes and laughed at his confidence. “Taichi," she began, still giggling, “even if you were rich you know I’d still insist on paying."
Tai rolled his eyes. “Y’know what? Fine. I can never try to be nice, you always end up sneaking some money in my pocket." he crossed his arms over his chest, furrowing. “You aren’t funny. If you don’t pay, then, forget my debts."
"Oh, Taichi." She shook her head and chuckled. "If you would just let me pay I wouldn't have to sneak money back to you in the first place!"

Sora turned red with frustration. “Of course it is!" she exclaimed, “It’s so rude of you- you think all girls want you doing that?" She rolled her eyes and glanced back down at the menu. She hadn’t even had a chance to look at it because of him. “I’ll just get some soup." she declared, deciding she wasn’t hungry enough for a full meal.
"Soup?" Yamato changed his mind. “Y’know what, I think I’ll just go with an iced tea. Truth is, I’ve already eaten. A drink is good enough."
The boy jumped in his seat when he felt his phone vibrate in his back pocket. “My ass just vibrated," he said to no one in particular. Yamato leaned to the side to pull his phone out of his pocket, surprised to receive a response from his lawyer at that time of the night.
"Ah, good news," he told Sora, once he was done reading his lawyer’s text message. “I manage to postpone my appointment in the morning. Actually, it’s more of bringing forward the appointment to around late afternoon. I’ll be her last client of the day. Sweet." He locked his phone and slipped it into his side pocket.
"Well that's good." Sora said, still quite monotonously. She glanced around to see where the waitress was, but it looked like she was helping some other customers at the moment. The redhead guessed she'd be over soon. "What's your meeting about again, anyways?"
"Yeah," Sora laughed, “but college will just suspend you, won’t it?" She imagined him pulling some harmless prank on one of his professors. Sometimes he really reminded her of Taichi. Of course, he was a completely different person in his own right, but they shared many similarities and quirks.
"Yeah, that’s why I’ve been on my best behaviour!" Daisuke grinned, his tone mildly sarcastic. He hadn’t caused that much trouble at his college, not enough to be suspended at least, but in all honesty it hadn’t been a conscious decision, he’d been too busy to get carried away with any kind of prank so far, or even find someone to help him pull it off for that matter.
"Right." Sora said skeptically, side-eying him and laughing. Her attention was quickly drawn from him though when she noticed a large oak tree with some thick grass underneath it. "That looks like a great place to sit, doesn't it?"
"Ohh.." Sora said, thinking about how someone probably didn’t deserve that just for doing his or her job. But that was Daisuke’s idea of fun, she supposed. “Well, you were probably better off because it missed, right?"
"I guess," Daisuke agreed, “I mean, I don’t think we should’a gotten in trouble when it missed. It was just a prank y’know?" He smiled, looking up at Sora, “But oh well! Detention’s all behind me now." He laughed. Granted that was mostly due to the fact that his college didn’t give out detentions - in fact he didn’t think any college did. But that was beside the point.

"Ehh, don’t ‘Miss Takenouchi’ me," Sora glared at him, having noticed what he’d done the entire walk to the table, “you’re honestly the most rude person I know sometimes."
She huffed and opened her menu.
The blonde scoffed. “Is it wrong if I want to look at her behind? What is it with you girls, anyway?" He opened his menu. “I mean, Jun gets worked up when I look at other girls… But, heh, Jun is kinda cute when she’s jealous."
Yamato scanned the menu, but there was nothing on it that interests him. “Err, I guess I’ll have whatever you’re having, Sor."
Sora turned red with frustration. "Of course it is!" she exclaimed, "It's so rude of you- you think all girls want you doing that?" She rolled her eyes and glanced back down at the menu.
