My own yellow brick road...

For those who don't know I'm a journalist. I'm still in college but I've been doing this for almost seven years now (the profession, not the college) so I guess I can consider myself one. For long as I know, all I ever want was to have my own site. Where I could use all of my ideas, my point of view, without having to submit myself to somebody else orders. And I'm not talking about a boss or anything like that. But someone who keeps constantly cutting of my creativity and afraid that I would take control, because that's who I am. I have a strong personality and I'm a natural leader. When people don't know what to do, I give them directions, point out the best solutions. Not in a bossy way.

Anyway... today I start to build my own yellow brick road. First I launched a Facebook page with a video that I edited and that will bring people to like my fanpage while I'm building the website.

Really slow but with a steady pace I will get there.

Changes

I've always liked those quotes that from time to time someone reblog.

Many people think that they're only phrases and in part I have to agree. But one of them make my heart skip a beat and my head swirl: "The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are."

And that's is everything for me now. Like my new motto. Every time that I face a new challenge or start to wonder why things don't change or why I don't like something anymore, I remember this quote, put a smile on my face and start to moving things around. Change a few pieces, my own chessboard. My life. The worst promise to break is the one that you made for yourself. I've made myself a promise for four years now. Every year I just forget or pretend to. Not now.
