I find his life and death/treatment after death fascinating and devastating. There's actually a 911 episode that is directly inspired by his case, season 7, episode 6 of 9-1-1 titled "Masks". He is buried roughly 3 hours from me in Guthrie, Oklahoma and I plan to make the drive to pay my respects at some point. He was originally killed roughly 5 hours from where I currently live. I have looked into his story alot given the fact it's """"""local"""""" to me. It is still a bit of a trip but close enough for me to find him fascinating. My home was built just 2 years after his death in 1911, however his body wasn't discovered until 1976, 2 years after my mom was born. The fact his mummification was completely accidental and caused by high arsenic used by the undertaker is one of my favorite "morbid trivia" pieces.
