As was expected, with the sudden explosion of breweries in South Africa over the last 5-6 years, came the “World vs Kanye” love/hate relationship we have with beer festivals. It’s an irritating relationship, because you’d give up anything (okay, maybe not anything) for “her”.

In a lot of ways, approaching marriage is kinda like a reboot. All the ways you've thought about life, yourself, your future, needs to align itself with another human being who's also undergoing this often painful stripping away. But because we've been conditioned to hold onto things: possessions, identity, status, ego, this stripping away does not come naturally. And you become acutely aware that if you don't use force to demolish, let alone strip away, this holding on, you might not have what it takes to become one with this other human being. So you reboot. Everything. Like Chappie's master, Deon, who, for the sake of a robot, changed and transferred all the ways he knew himself onto a robot as well (yes. I saw Chappie and found depth). Marriage, like reboot, means you can never go back to the way you were, but you will have found new ways of being you. //Embrace Reboot vs. //Accept System Failure. (at somewhere out there)
