hello???? a vision of scully from 1997 just appeared to yell “not everything is about you, mulder.” right NOW he needs to have this identity crisis, even though he made peace with scully giving up their son years ago because he knew he forfeited his right to blame her for how she survived when he went into hiding? get a motorcycle like every other man
first of all since when was that a substitute for saving actual lives (I see a writer wrote this one). but also... the fbi is only just now promising not to shoot mulder where he stands and scully wants him to try to publish a record of his experiences?? which include being framed for murder by the government? if you want to go back on the run just say so, babe
3. “you act like you’re surprised”
coming back from the dead is generally surprising, yeah. WHAT does this mean. she’s trying to tell him about her deepest trauma and he’s acting like she’s making it up. yes he’s also traumatized. yes she should have taken a bat to his tv <3
4. “I’d do it all over again”
you do not have to be good, you do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert repenting, you do not have to say you don’t regret giving up your son in order to make your partner feel better
