Thank you very much for asking about this idea!! This is my google doc which I think I started, fittingly, on a beach on holiday lol. I clearly did not get very far and some of these are tweaks straight from the book as opposed to a fully Rhaenicent spin on things but I still like the idea! I think the fear Poppy expresses about being “too much” for anyone would be fun (and a bit heart wrenching, but I like to feel things) to explore in a Rhaenyra Targaryen context.

I heard the song chloe et al for the first time today and was caught up thinking about how much it fit scott and tessa..so imagine my shock when the lyrics “can we watch our phantoms like watching wild horses” came through my speakers 😟. gave me such a strange feeling and i fear this is much too niche for anyone else to understand it 😭

Oh wow! I don't think I have actually listened to chloe et al (which I will be borrowing, thank you!) all that often because ttpd anthology was rather overwhelming but oh I can see this now!!

I just needed to come here and say that i read Wild Horses three or four months ago and I am still thinking about that story every damn day. Specially the AU of the AU idk what crack you put in that thing but I still get emotional if I think about that story too hard. Maybe the best virtuemoir fic ever tbh…I don’t know very much about your personal or professional life but I hope writing is a part of it because you have such a unique way to put heart and soul into the characters and stories, that gift should not be restricted to those of us who consume rpf about canadian figure skaters (although i am not complaining and in fact would be first in line to devour any other vm fics you decide to bless us with!).

Ahh, thank you so so so much! I've been struggling to get back into writing and with my confidence so I feel like your kindness has come along just when I needed it <3 That my stories could make you feel soemthing and that you're still thinking about it is just an amazing compliment. Wild Horses (and the AU of the AU) will always have a special place in my heart and I think I have come to terms with the fact my best writing may have been rpf about canadian figure skaters lol. I think it's unlikely I'll write more vm but I'll be writing other fic for sure.
