Hi so I have a confession I really need to get off my chest; up until a few days ago, I didn't even know what Free! was really about. I had never heard of it, or encountered the fandom in any way. I watched other animes on crunchyroll and since I don't have premium there were trailers: INCLUDING ONE FOR ETERNAL SUMMER. The first thing I thought, I'm not even kidding, was "oh ok so shark teeth and pretty boy are in love and everyone else is oblivious." (24 episodes later... I wasn't that far off)

"Shark teeth and pretty boy" reminded me of that one movie Shark Boy and Lava Girl, but I guess RinHaru would be Shark Boy and Love-a Boy ;)

And tbh I'm p sure we were all ready for some sort of gay after seeing so many half-naked bodies

Subbed the event drama part with Sousuke’s awkward laugh, Makoto and Haru’s shared telepathy, and Rin almost kissing complaining to Makoto LOL. Drama track is A+ lol.

(for those interested, you can hear my own lone laughing voice at 1:15 minutes into the video after Hosoyan’s awkward “ha ha” and before the audience starts laughing LOL)
