Coral, an alien spaceship mechanic

She’s my own homebrew alien race for a scifi game I am in. A type of sentient jellyfish people. Coral, however, took a liking to humans and worked hard to maneuver her jelly body into the shape of them. The minor exosuit she wears acts as bones to keep her form in place

A Commission piece!

She wanted her Tabaxi Circle of the Stars Druid in her Chalice form (and the others as well) and this was the first one to get done! I find I still struggle with what to make as a background, and looking back I’d add more of those Star/liquid/thing around to add a frame, but I like it overall!

I think the subtle lighting in particular makes me happy and the way all the stars came out. Despite being a warm colored Tabaxi the cool tones don’t feel like they’re clashing too much which I’m so excited about!

It has been forever since I’ve updated this Tumblr, but a notification on crazy old drawings finally tempted me back. I have continued working on my art for the past several months and year, particularly digitally, and while I may not be where I thought I would, I’ve found my style has developed, evolved, and changed in some great ways.

I’m happy to be back!

Character work!

It’s all sketchy and there’s barely linework, but I had a friend walk me through the designs they have for a set of girls who were all related and I really wanted to practice my anatomy and coloring, plus ruffles. My ruffles at the end are so much better than some of the beginning ones.

I know I’m really bad about posting to this, my ADHD totally distracts me away from it, but I’ll keep trying to post pieces that I do and practice I push with so that at the very least I can look back at my old art and appreciate the growth.

How are you, really?

I’m actually really really happy. My life has been coming together for me these days, and it’s been giving me more energy to be able to pursue things I love, like art. It’s been nice to thrive in the brief moments of life, be it smelling the rain for a few seconds or losing myself to the hours of process that takes art. I no longer feel as though I’m wasting my time and my hours and my supply of moments on things like these.

Of course. I’ve got all sorts of finished pieces on my blog but I could totally show you some sketches. Small thing I managed to in between bouts of work.

All stuff I never post because they’re sketches and they’re messy and unfinished but they make me happy to draw all the same!
