Yesterday was a good day.

First, I had Popeye’s for the fourth time in two weeks. That chicken and those biscuits would be enough to make for a good day, but something else happened while we were there that brought a lot of joy.

Encouragement From My Late Mother

As many of you may know, I lost my Mom the November before last. I just wanted to pass on a little something that happened yesterday.

I was working on a logo for a client that is starting a new business...

(Background, things are somewhat tense as I now am working full time as the "self-employed" www.JackDanielTaylor.com Consultant and with www.CoworkingofElizabethtown.com.  And sometimes, I doubt myself, thinking I should just go get a "REAL" job with a steady paycheck.)

...while I was finishing up the logo work, the client asked me to make a version with the work phone number on it. I cut and pasted it in, not really paying attention to it. Later, As I was asking a "coe-worker" to spell check my work....I became speechless.

It was my Mom's old home number. I couldn't believer it...what are the chances? Wow. I think It was like mom giving me a little encouragement. Since then, It is kinda like I have had a "good talk with my Mom". She was always there when I need to talk and I have SO dearly miss those moments.

So...all that to say. We are not alone. Yet another reason I believe there is a spiritual, unseen, part to our lives.
