Sorry for no update— I plan on streaming/recording this weekend. I’ve been having a lot of issues with the memory usage on my pc so it’s hard to run OBS, Skyrim, AND my pngtuber program without one of them failing mid recording. Just to be safe I may only record and release videos to edit out anytime one of the programs fail but I will try to do a stream this saturday 5am CDT. If you are in the same time zone as me… that is SUPER early lol. It’s the only time that works for me at this moment lol.

While working on projects- I’m going to start recording play throughs of Skyrim with the Lorerim Modlist. I’m stuck between pre-recorded no commentary videos or stream on twitch w/ commentary then release the VODs on Youtube later. What do you all think? One is definitely more work but also I think a little more fun. :)

Hey friends,

I don’t mean to use this for my main account of communication— I know this blog is solely for Jack Frost updates— but I think this is the best way to let you all know what’s going on.

Life has been super complicated and busy— I do have a project (not JF) in the works that will be released SOON. I don’t have a set date since I’m not able to work on it consistently, but I just wanted to let you all know.

I’m also working on getting art commissions opened on Ko-fi to really get back into drawing.

To be honest, I don’t really draw or do anything enjoyable in my free time as I’m always tired from work and life— but we are working on that. 😅

I will be updating all my socials soon as well- I want to be active and part of the VN & art community again— it’s just been tough connecting with people IRL or online. But that’s okie haha.

I appreciate you all and should have some promising updates soon <3

I’m doing this now since I won’t have time the day of- but HAPPY EARLY 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! Jack Frost’s creation is officially 12/22!

Btw the character in the middle is the MC! This is not the MC’s official design as they will be sprite-less- but the MC’s default name in the final game will be “Ellowyn,” and this is definitely how I would imagine Ellowyn would look :0

This question have have been in my mind for a long time , and after I saw Dif Jack I have to ask.

Does Jack dye his hair ? If not , why his facial hair and eyebrows are black ?

Hello! :D

So completely fair question- to be honest it was just a design choice at first! However, it is slightly tied to Jack’s birth (which I cannot elaborate on YET) but let’s just say if he was born like everyone else- his hair would probably be completely black.

Hey just wanted to ask if it's okay to make a reference to Jack in a game I'm making for Christmas? He'll be in the form of a plushie. There's a light reference to Coyne too, but it's very ambiguous and barely counts. Love you and your fabulous work! ❤️

Hello there hope your doing will .

I have some questions I hope you can answer them

1 . What are the characters level in swimming ?

2 . How old where jack when he meets MC for the first time?

3 . Can the players keep their relationship with Jack platonic in the game ?

4 . If the characters where in a game that have combat , how will will characters fight ?

Hey! I’m doing well! Hope you are too! And apologizes for the INSANELY long wait!!

1. So there are a good number of characters in Jack Frost but as the ones we know of so far (like Bee, Blaise, Goose, and Jack) they all can swim pretty well but Bee does have a fear of swimming in deep water.

2. Jack was 8 when he met the MC while the MC was 7- the game actually takes place 14 years later! Meaning Jack is now 22 while the MC is 21.

3. I will be honest, this has been a topic of debate for quite some time in my own head. I want Jack Frost to have themes of both platonic love and romantic love- so AS OF NOW- I am leaning towards yes- players will be able to keep their relationship with Jack Frost platonic. However I may change this in the future depending on where I take the story.

4. Honestly out of the four- only Jack and Blaise would fight and there are some spoilers to the game itself if I explain more on that- but they are magically inclined so they can use those powers/abilities in combat. If Goose and Bee had to fight they would definitely be support. :3

I don’t think I have actually sat down and allowed myself to play a visual novel in quite some time… tbh I think it’s been roughly an entire year since I have. 💀💀 I think since I was struggling so much with Jack Frost I felt like I was taking time away from its development if I allowed myself to even enjoy spending my free time doing anything else— which is like super unhealthy. But I have now learned that not allowing myself to indulge in playing VNs or even other hobbies like reading has really hurt my motivation and even my creativity. A friend of mine told me that art cannot be created in a vacuum, I need to allow myself to enjoy other creative works- especially if I want my own projects to grow and prosper.

Soooooo that being said- if there are any visual novels you guys have enjoyed and would recommend that I play- please let me know :3 I like a wide range of stories so any suggestion will do!

I do want to replay some visual novels that I haven’t played in a LONG time- mainly replay Binary Star Hero (because it’s a fire game frfr) and jump back on the 14 Days With You train.

Anyways- that’s my rant for the day haha.

Say hello to BEE’s redesign. The OLDEST existing character in the Jack Frost Universe, they were originally created about a year before I started on JF for an entirely different project which I scrapped (fun fact it was a horror yuri visual novel- I fumbled so hard scrapping that lol). They are canonically the player character’s friend from middle school. Bee has quite the extroverted yet down-to-earth personality.

I love them so much- I have changed their design quite a bit. I will admit, I may recolor this another time as their skin tone is a little too desaturated (which is ironic since their initial skin tone was oversaturated imo)- but I am happy with this!

It is a future plan of mine to give Bee their own story taking place in the city they grew up in AFTER the completion of Jack Frost.
