17.9.23 New York Circus Project - Debut Performance for 'Open Streets NY'

Before I left New York for good my dear friends Sam and Emma invited me to co-emcee and perform with another dear friend Erin for their first NY Circus Project production on the Upper West Side for Open Streets. We curated a setlist and whipped up a script to introduce all the INCREDIBLE circus acts, taking turns singing solos and duets for all acts (from Gaga to Nina Simone, to No Doubt). Had the best time as always, what a wonderful team and I was and still am in awe of the talent. Circus is crazy. I'm going to miss working with my fabulous US friends!!

7.2023 - 1.2024 Creative Direction for Lola Consuelos Artist Promo Shoot

I was recently connected to the very talented Lola (fresh Clive Davis grad, also Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos' daughter!) and struck up a beautiful friendship - now I'm co-managing her and her artist (re)brand! I've always wanted to put on my 'creative director' hat and fuse together my passions for music, pop culture, photography, fashion and more. Also sick being able to tap into my ever-growing network and bring in other artists to work on this project.

We came up with this mood-board for her upcoming shoot with up-and-coming NY photographer, Sophia Wilson (who I've admired for a while now) in which we're hoping to establish her look and sound through new social content, cover artwork, etc. She has an amazing voice and aura that we think will do extremely well in the current music landscape. 8.2023 UMT Intern Minor's Presentation As part of 'The Come Up' internship program, all interns were tasked with presenting to the company their 'minor' (Major: your job title, Minor: what you're passionate about/do on the side). Mine was singing and performing, and I essentially covered my entire musical journey thus far, from teaching myself how to play the ukulele, to becoming a musical theatre kid and a cappella nerd, etc. I also sung for everyone which was an exciting experience because I hadn't performed in public for a while now, but I loved every second of it. The video of me above is me rehearsing minutes before my presentation, and the song? One Night Only (the J.Hud version from Dreamgirls, ofc).

You can find the full deck HERE! I'm very proud of it. I really wanted to flex my creative muscles a lil bit with this too - I studied Art History for a reason and I got an EYE for aesthetics, I feel. Take a gander, it's replete with gifs!!

6.2023-8.2023 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop - UMT Campaign In celebration of HipHop50 and as part of the Social team at UMT, I helped craft and execute our social media campaign! This included the ideation, creation, copywriting and rollout for our two series: '50for50', counting down 50 iconic moments in Hip-Hop & Advertising history, and 'Love at First Listen', based off the legendary film Brown Sugar (2002), where we asked employees when they first fell in love with the genre. To work on this project was a privilege for me, as I was given the opportunity to collaborate with several departments, really get to know people all over the company and learn from them. Bonus was being educated on all the incredible Hip-Hop history that has influenced our culture and economy. Hip-Hop truly is an empire.

Oh, and I also made a playlist/listening companion for our CEO/Founder Steve Stoute's book 'The Tanning of America' (available via Amazon ig) as a side project. It's every song he mentions in it, and since I was looking them all up when I was reading it, I thought I'd compile this playlist so everyone can do it too. Really captures THEE MOMENTS perfectly and helps you really understand the impact of this genre. Do give it a listen! Hip Hop HISTORY!

7.2023 - Beats x Alessia Russo: 'Level Up' Campaign

One of the projects I worked on at UnitedMasters|Translation was crafting email pitches to publications to promote the agency's latest work with one of our recurring clients (Beats by Dre!!) Loved working on this because I got to delve into the whole 'NIL deal'-lore that I'd clearly been missing out on. Also always empowering working on a campaign feature a boss-ass woman. Further - got to research and get to know more industry/media contacts!

12.2022-8.2023 Gritty In Pink - ALL GRL JAMs & Fairwell Festival

Learnt SO much about brand partnerships and events management working with Gritty this past year. Lots of connecting and communicating with brand managers to secure sponsorships and working with brands from various industries was a hoot. Some of my favourites were Jager (bevs for backstage/artists/guests), Blackstar/Vox/Roland (backline<3), Taylor Guitars (giveaway!!), Weedmaps (pure fun) and also a handful of charities which we held IG live fundraisers for. Our latest FairWell Festival stint where we got a whole STAGE was a big highlight of my time there. Grateful to everyone I worked with who supported the Gritty cause of championing female & LGBTQ+ musicians.

6.13.23 UnitedMaster x Bulleit Whiskey x Tribeca Festival It's my second week into my PR/Comms internship at UnitedMasters|Translation and I get to shadow my boss at this event - my life's a movie. I got to follow around and learn from the CMO of UMT himself, Chaucer Barnes, and guiding him to interviews. I was able to listen to him talk about the importance of mentorship between independent artists and established creatives in relation to the Bulleit Pioneer Project, which helped facilitate my email pitch and press release writing about the event, and also rub shoulders with industry folk. What a start to my time there.

5.27.23 Gritty x Adjacent Fest 2023 As part of Gritty in Pink, LiveNation sent me to Adjacent Fest as a social media correspondent or sorts and celebrate talented female artists. I was able to meet and interview so many cool people who loved the same music as me and there was a HUGE bonus: seeing Paramore (inner child healing) for the first time ever. *video has been cropped due to formatting:(

5.21.23 The 1000 Year Anniversary of the Eradication of Death My dear friend Ian and his writing partner asked me to be a part of their staged reading (as an actress) for the musical they wrote. It was thrilling. So many talented performers and we pulled it together in a week! They're going to go far, this was a work of art and I was honoured to have contributed to the creative process.

1.2023 - 2.2023 Marketing Intern - Burwood Media One facet to my brief stint at Burwood was creating and scheduling original Facebook and TikTok ads using content from previous events! I managed multiple event accounts, as seen pictured above: The Best Night Ever Party (Y2K/Disney), Rodeo Rave (Country Music), and the Take On Me Party (80s Music).

12.2022-6.2023 SecondShift.Live - Social Media Marketing Coordinator Jumped on this awesome project co-founded by a fellow Barnard alum and NYU grad - a multi-media collective highlighting the work of incredible women in music. In charge of: creating social media calendar and producing daily content for Instagram and TikTok - illuminating iconic days in pop culture history (#OnThisDay), posting regular story polls and questions for followers to chime in on current events, promoting local NYC/LA music and art events to attend and MORE!

AND: Curating genre/context-based playlists (eg. Monday is for 'In The Mix', our SoundCloud-centered playlist for our fave flips/remixes, whilst Wednesday is reserved for our oddly specific playlists, i.e: Songs to Listen to When Your Landlord is Ghosting You.) ALSO! Support production of SecondShift showcases featuring local NYC/LA artists, developing key relationships with musicians, management, venue coordinators and FANS!!!
