Grayson would give anything to make sure that Jackie knew how much she was loved. “Dinner and a theatre production?” His eyes remained on her, he could spend the rest of his life looking at her and he would be happy.

“Sounds lovely.” She smiled back at him. “What did you have in mind to see?” She chimed lightly. “Also do you mind if we try something different like I don’t know Mediterranian food?”

“All these things make me who I am. I was born in a different time,” he smiled. Being around her made him nothing but happy, he couldn’t imagine anything different. “I feel connected you you as well.” He paused for a moment the smile still present, “would you like to go out and do something?”

“That’s part of what makes you so special.” She smiled back. He’d been so good to her with all of these surprises and spoiling her with love and affection. Sometimes she wondered if she was doing enough back for him. “Of course, I always love to spend time with you.”

Grayson nodded his head, “when I was growing up this was a big thing. I know it’s not as much now but I wanted to bring a part of my past to you.” He smiled and kissed her, “I love you so much.”

“I love it. I’m glad you want me to see these parts of you.” She smiled kissing him back. “It’s traditional, but I like that.” She hummed happily. “I never really bought into my family's traditions and customs, but that’s cause I never felt connected to them. I do to you tho, more than anything.”

Grayson couldn’t quite put into words what he felt for her, she was his world, his everything. He bit his bottom lip gently before reaching into his pocket to pull out a ring box. His eyes were on Jackie. “I got you this as a promise that I want to spend the rest of my life loving you.” Inside the box was a promise ring, “it’s the last part of your surprise.

Jackie placed her hands over her mouth as she gasped softly at the last part of the surprise. She didnt even ealize her eyes were glossing over with tears of joy. “Y-you got me a promise ring?” She replied still in absolute shock and awe. “Oh Grayson!” The rest of his life is a mighty long time considering he is a vampire, and while part of her naturally wondered about if he could really mean forever, the majority of her was just happy and relived that even if it was just in this moment, the fact he wanted it to be forever with her was enough for her. “Thank you.” She smiled, “ I promise to love you the rest of my life.”

Grayson watched her open it, he couldn’t help the smile at her reaction. “I was hoping you would like it.” He kissed her back with ease, “you mean the world to me Jackie. You have changed my life more than I can describe.”

“Of course I love it! You’re the best.” She chimed quickly putting it on. “You do to me too. You’ve no idea the impact you’ve had on me. I truly do mean it when I say I’m glad I met you and am lucky enough to have you in my life.” She smiled softly. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” She hummed in a soft whisper.

Grayson smiled and kissed her gently. “Patience love.” He chuckled, “the backpack is because I couldnt put your surprise in my pocket.” He took the back pack off his back and opened it grabbing a necklace box out and passing it to her. Inside was a heart locket with two pictures of the two of them inside. One when they had first met and one recent on. On the front of the locket it was inscribed with the words. “I love you forever.”

“Is a virtue I’m not sure I’m good at.” She laughed kissing him back. “Woah that’s a big surprise.” She hummed. She watched curiously as he took out the box with the necklace inside it. he eyes went wide with shock and awe as she opened it. “ Oh my god Grayson! It’s abslutly beautiful I love it so much!” She gasped happily pressing her lips against his excitedly. “I love you too.”She mmmbled against his lips.

Grayson had a backpack on his back. As soon as the door opened he wrapped his arms around her pulling her close. “It’s part one of the surprise I guess.”

Jackie giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck happily as he pulled her close, “Ok.” She smiled kissing his cheek. “So what’s part two? What’s with the backpack?” She asked curiously.

Jackie was confused a moment before giggling as she read her text message. With a wide grin, she hopped up off her couch to open her door. “You sure? Because that’d be a pretty dang good surprise.” She chimed giddily.
