God, for a playboy you don’t have much experience with the police, do you?" The tears were still falling, but out of the anger she was feeling. "If this doesn’t work out… " She muted.

Or I'd have served time in prison myself." His voice was stern he was trying to be strong and supportive. "It will work out, trust me."

"He has several money transfers to my account, Jackson. How will that look like? If not for murder, I will for prostitution!" She said aloud, tears running down her face fast. She didn’t know what to do. She needed a lawyer. "I need a lawyer and we should find someone to marry us, so you can’t say anything. Spouse privilege or something like that.”

Jackson almost laughed but did not, "If I marry you it will look like we did something wrong and we did not. You wee trying to save your life and they will see that. Prostitution or not you will be okay, I promise you it's why we have lawyers on retainer. I will be with you every step of the way."

"No!" She exclaimed, shaking her head. If he told anyone, it was most likely than not that she was going to jail. She was not educated, she wouldn’t get a private cell, besides, she would never survive in jail, even if she grew up in a tough neighborhood, she liked her accessories and clothes too much. She was a material girl. “I am going to go to jail, Jackson. I have records! I am not the most reliable witness…” It seemed too late though, Jackson was already talking with someone on the phone.

"I don't care, Scar. You will not go to jail and I will make sure of that, I've never let you down before and I won't start now." Jackson held her in his arms and tried to calm her down. "All you have to do is be honest, I know it's stupid and sounds like easy but you have to tell them everything. I don't care I'm not going to judge you because I'd rather you e here and safe then not."

"I── He── He attacked me and I just── I just used the lamp to beat him, until he fell…" She muttered, stuttering on her words and shaking her head. The tears still stubbornly slid on her cheeks. "How can you say that, Jackson? He is dead!”

Jackson took a deep breath and shook his head, he wasn't expecting this but he could handle anything at this point. "Well then that's what we will tell the police because we can't cover this up. I need you to breath Scar and we will call them and have paramedics come too. We have to do this right." he said his voice a little harsh as he was on edge. Picking up the phone he called, mumbling a few words to them. "Why do you get dressed and we can wait." he rubbed his forehead why was he so calm? He should have been freaking out, but he knew she was freaking out and he needed to be strong.

Sitting on the bed, Scarlett waited for him ─ her face blankly staring at the wall. When she heard the knock on the door, Scar jumped. She was so fucked up. “I──” she muttered and ran to open the door. “I screwed up, Jackson.” She said, tears streaming quietly on her face and her hands still shaking as she grabbed his shirt. “Badly.”

Jackson's face changed when he saw her cry and he wasn't sure what had happened as her words flowed and he got more confused. "Okay, okay, What happened exactly Scarlett. I need to know." she said sternly holding her in his arms as she cried out. Rubbing herback and kissing her forehead. "It will be okay, whatever happened I'm here and we can fix it."

Scarlett was shaking. Of all the things she had done and had seen, killing a man was not on the list ── and she never thought it would be. Her client, a young entrepreneur, just didn’t stop going after her, even when she said it was not like she did things. One, two, three strikes before him falling on the ground. The brunette expected him to rise again, but he just stayed there, lying on the ground. Suddenly, she saw the blood. Kneeling at his side, she checked the pulse. There wasn’t any.

Dropping the lamp, she picked her phone to text Jackson.

"I need you. Four Seasons. Penthouse. Tell them Miss Channing is waiting."

Jackson was laying on his bed looking up at the ceiling as he was listening to 80's rock. Out of the corner of his eye he saw his phone light up and wondered who would be texting him this late at night. Sliding his thumb across the screen he saw her message. It was rare for her to text him and he was a little worried. 

"On my way be there in 20."

Driving he wondered what was going on had she been attacked again? Had something worse happenend? He wasn't sure but he could feel his feet leading him into the hotel after valeting his car. "Miss Cunningham is waiting for me." he said to the concerge at the desk, taking the elevator up he stood outside the door and knocked."
