I’m not exactly sure where to start or how to start, yet nonetheless I will begin with the beginning and move forward from there. Twill be a tale, at times tall as a tower and others, as small as a speck of sand. For this ultimate judgment I leave it up to you to decide, after all I can ask nothing more or less of you. In fact it started with sand, lots of sand. It was cool and damp, soft and fine as he let his fingers gently glide over their surface. He imagined that it was the back of a beautiful and lustful woman. He closed his eyes and relaxed into this familiar, yet exciting daydream. She felt amazing on the tips of his fingers. Her breath was soft, causing her to rise and fall, subtly, slowly, calming. He imagined her to have flowing black hair like that of a stunning mare, her skin tanned, soft as silk. He would take her hair when she would anger, which could be quite often, and gently weave it between his fingers until her spirit would settle. He would tell her he loved more and more each time he saw her until just the sight of her walking his way would make his throat grow hands and clamp down on any air attempting to escape his lungs. She loved him for it. She loved him because he worshiped her like a goddess and treated her as such. She loved it when he told her he would not worship the ground she walked on because it would be admiring a place she had been and not her herself. Their love was the envy of those who witnessed it. Broad jealous looks were cast at them by those who could not look beyond their own faces. They happily smiled at the boorish onlookers and only the most hardened of them did not smile back. Their love was infectious, not pretentious. A smile broke his mouth open as a giggle escaped. Soon it became stomach clenching laughter. He rolled over fully expecting to be met with more of the same cool and damp, soft and fine sand. However, on this day of days stars did align and thinned the veil so the Lords and Ladies could hear his wishful daydreams. So with the softness of a mother’s kiss they granted him, this once lonely boy, his fondest and most cherished wish. The sand did not give way as it had done so many times before; in fact it was warm and dry, soft and fine. He opened his eyes to see what he was laying on top of. As he gazed down at the most breathtakingly beautiful woman, his throat grew hands and did exactly that. She raised her hand and gently put a finger to his lips. In that moment he knew she was real and no longer just a distant love in a far off daydream. Her soft touch soothed his spirit; his throat hands released their grip and faded away. He lowered his to rest on her breast; he could hear the gentle rhythm of her beating heart making his beat faster. She was here and she was real, really real. He drew back and stared in amazement into her dark brown eyes. All around him waves lapped ashore, birds sung and flew, grass rustled in the breeze, the stars still burned and the world still turned. However, for this once lonely boy none of that mattered and went unnoticed by his every sense. The love of his life was no longer in his dreams but beautiful flesh and hair in his arms. His goddess and muse was here before him and now he could worship and love her the way he had so many times imagined. There was no possession of each other, she was not his and he not hers, they were simply one, complete together, oneness.  In love forever and always, soulmates.
