Well what it doesn’t have is that huge dance/pop drop thing. What it is, is a really kind of personal album for him but not kind of like lone guy with a guitar but personal as he’s kind of exploring all these different modes. Lyrically, here’s what I think will surprise people the most, is how clever and revealing the lyrics are that match these great tracks. You do go away thinking, ‘This guy is really a good writer.’ You see that he’s clever and soulful at the same time the way a real music fan might be. So like all the stuff that he loves, and if you’re driving around with him he’s listening to all kinds of stuff. He synthesizes all of it into his own music, and like he says, ‘melodies first.’ So it’s super catchy, but soulful in the way that you want somebody you’re interested in to reveal themselves.

Harry Styles is headed in the direction of The Late Late Show.

The One Direction vet will do a weeklong residency in May on the CBS late-night talk show, host James Corden announced on Tuesday.

Styles will perform a new song from his solo album each night of the stint, which starts on Monday, May 15, and ends Thursday, May 18. The self-titled album will be released on May 12. Styles also will appear in assorted Late Late Showsegments throughout those shows.

Which record label is Harry Styles debut single, Sign Of The Times, signed to?

The obvious – and correct – answer is Columbia, the operation formerly helmed by now-Sony Music CEO Rob Stringer.

But it turns out the truth is actually a little more nuanced than that.

Sign Of The Times is credited on streaming services as ‘Erskine Records Ltd under exclusive license to Columbia Records’.

In a not-that-surprising move, Styles has followed the example of fellow pop superstars such as Beyonce and set up his own record company.

Erskine is where the rights to Sign Of The Times (and Styles’ forthcoming other solo work) will presumably revert after his Columbia license deal is through.

Styles is also a director of companies including HSA Publishing Ltd (founded: 2014) and Rollcall Touring Ltd (founded: 2012).

Smart boy, that one.

According to Companies House in the UK, Erskine Records was incorporated by Styles in May 2016.

Sign Of The Times hit No.1 in the UK and US on iTunes after its release on Friday (April 7).

She’d cried hearing ‘Sign of the Times.’ Now he sat with his father – who liked the new song ‘Carolina’ best – both having come full circle. Styles is moved as he describes how he felt. I didn’t want to exhaust our fan base. If you’re shortsighted, you can think, ‘Let’s just keep touring,’ but we all thought too much of the group than to let that happen.
