Approximately 2 years ago I was in denial that I'm gonna have another baby brother. Thinking 'WHATT?!? no. no. and no. This is not gonna happen'. Today, heart filled w love whenever I see this lil boy. Though he can be VERY troublesome at times. Being able to witness his growth, reminded how I was loved by my parents and our heavenly father. To love is to give. To give, is a blessing. We are all loved & blessed. All glory to God. Ok back to my books. Finals' tomorrow. Good Night.

Definitely a blessing to be able to witness:- People with sickness was healed, People with broken hearts was restored, Fears within people was casted out through praising & worshiping our God. Hello. I’m Jacky and a worship guitarist for my church. Just thought that I could share a lil bit of my experience and journey serving as a worship guitarist and the gears I used for great tones. :)  

So yeah, this is a short post to start off writing on tumblr about the overdrives that I used and will share some ideas on how I use them. 

LET’S BEGIN! 

First overdrive that I’m gonna talk about is the almighty Morning Glory V4 from JHS pedals and all i can say about this pedal is just TOO GOOD hence it’s my favourite pedal on my board (It’s ALWAYS turned ON on my board whenever I play the guitar). I thank God that I’m able to get a used one yet in mint condition with a great deal from my good friend, Keith. :D Anyway, what I really liked about this pedal is that you can get the classic low gain sound from the JTM45 amp. Normally, I set the gain at 11′o clock, volume and tone at noon with my strat as for my tele with p90s, I set the gain at 9′o clock, volume and tone remained (cause the p90s are slightly hotter than the singer coils of my strat haha). Besides that, I have a remote control for the pedal built by the great guy, Jimmy (Lynessmy Jimmy, searched him up FB for custom made pedals and etc. :P) so that I have the option to get the high cut sound from the Morning Glory, I only used it to ‘kinda’ cut through the mix when I’m playing a mild solo lead lines during slow songs.  Moving on to my 2nd overdrive/distortion that I have is the FEROCIOUS Andy Timmons’ signature drive! Aka The AT  from JHS pedals. Basically, it’s a modified version of the ANGRY CHARLIE (from JHS as well). P/S I really do love JHS pedals. I loved the Angry Charlie’s and the AT specifically because of the classic JCM800 sound that you can get out of a box, a saturated high gain kind of tone (marshall sound la). muaxx muaxx! bon apetit! For intros lead lines or any solo lead lines, or any planetshakers stuffs (exclude the edm’s hahaha). You guys probably wondering is this my 2nd stage or my last stage of drive. Well, I can use this as my 2nd and 3rd stage drive just by controlling your volume knob on your guitar! Higher gain stage with level 10 of your volume and around level 5-7 on the volume for 2nd stage drive ;). YEAH, you can try that. hahaha. I think that’s all for my drives section on my board, just sharing some ideas that I learned from my friends and Youtube. LOL. Hope my post can help any of you out there. TEEHEE!
