The daredevil attitude is a seductive thing. But when we get old, we understand that playing safe is not always a bad thing. Guard your heart and you keep your life together. It is prudence over passion. After all, it is better to be safe than sorry.

My Ideal Life Partner

I want a man who’s adventurous but not wild. I want someone who enjoys but not who indulge. Someone who has a strong mind but has a soft heart. Someone who’s brave but not barbaric, tall in stature but does not have lofty ambitions, honest but not tactless and generous but not abusive. He is a person who likes mere pleasures but he does not have to be a hedonist…someone who has a voice that he uses not only for singing but also for speaking truth, someone who’s protective but not possessive and someone who is sensitive. I need someone who understands, not someone who harshly judge. He is someone who would shamelessly hold my hand in public, not someone who would keep me a secret forever.

I want one who loves nature and would not mind gaze at the skies at night with me. Someone who I can laugh with and share stories with. Someone who has a great sense of humor but who doesn’t forget to keep a decent amount of seriousness in life. Someone who dances with me without being bothered of his two left feet if he has any. I do not want a man who trusts in riches but someone who strives for wealth. Health is wealth. It is a cliché but it is a crucial thing. I want someone who is kind and clean-cut, not mean and rugged. It is superficial to look at someone on the outside but sometimes the outward appearance tells the inward intents. What you wear is what you are. Men are not any different to women.

I want one who desires to be taken care of me and who desires to take care of me. I want one who is not distant but knows how to respect my boundaries. He does not need to have a degree but he should treat life like a big university. He should seek wisdom before he should seek me. He should love God before he should love me. Someone who loves me much more than I love him. He should kiss his fears away before he can kiss my lips. It takes real courage to love. It does. I do not want lust.

We must share the same faith and we must serve the same God. He must be brave. I keep on repeating brave because many are faint-hearted. Why be afraid? It is written in the Bible that perfect love casts out all fear. If I’m mistaken, I’d be glad to be lovingly corrected by my future love. He must be someone who uses the word “correct” instead of “rectify” when the situation calls for it. Big words are great but I admire small words and simplicity. I’m already complicated enough. I want a man who is precise and accurate in his words. Lastly, words are powerful but so are actions. I want someone who stays true to his words as he is committed to his actions. I appreciate consistency.

I know that this photo is kinda awkward or even embarrassing yet I am posting this for the love of documenting memories. I was away from home for about three months. Now that I’m staying for a couple of days, I can’t help but hug my niece. I sooooo miss you Allison and I soooo miss you Ormoc!
