the date was may 20th 2026.
april had been acting weird this whole week, i brushed it off. shes just gonna miss me while on tour! i kept telling myself. she was being more distant, creating more space between us, it was weird. i woke up to 5 messages from april.
april 🍰 : ive been mean and im sorry i didnt wanna miss u when i went on tour my plan was for us to go on a break but i cant do that i love u so much
april 🍰 : can you text me when you see this
april 🍰 : please wake up baby
april 🍰: im gonna come over
i went to text her back but saw her location was 2 minutes from my house - before i knew it i felt her knocking.
i opened the door and i practically fell down from how april jumped on me.
she wasnt normally a clingy person, she was hardly romantic, but something had changed. her whining was audible as she hugged me tight and lead me to our couch.
“we need to talk. badly- im so sorry-“
i felt her start rambling. her eyes getting glassy n tear filled as she began pouting.
“i love you so much, i cant be without you for tour- okay? i cant do it. your coming.”
she was now crying. as she desperately hugged me too tight. april normally hated pda- we would kiss- but this was pushing it. i felt her start to kiss all over my face- whispering
“please” everytime. i didnt want to go on tour with april- my entire life was here.
“april. i cant go on tour with you- its too soon you leave next week”
april kissed me more passionately on my face as if trying to erase all the doubts.
she pathetically mumbled as she moved herself to my lap.
“april. your going. its your tour.”
i said, almost sternly- but nothing got through to april right now. she wasnt normally so clingy she started crying again.
“your coming! your coming and your gonna watch me everynight- im gonna perform for you everynight- only you-“
she hugged me again, hiding her face in my neck as she gently kissed it.
i caved- seeing how hard the girl was crying- i didnt speak i just nodded. april smiled so big and giggled kissing me with a softer feeling now.
“thank you- it’ll be like its just us i’ll make the show about you everynight”
we got comfortable under the blankets on the couch and waited. april got what she wanted after all.
