It was the second and last day of our retreat at Betania Retreat House, Malasag. Before we end this, let’s go back to the first day.
February 19, 2018, Monday - It was the day of our retreat that was exclusive only for the ABM students. It was also the day of our immersion; we asked our supervisor that we will be having a retreat in the afternoon and that we will be working half of the day only. Before we left the campus, our Emptech teacher approached, telling us that we will have a short meeting with him for our Performance Task in finals. I was afraid that after the meeting, our task should be passed on Tuesday before 5 pm, and I will be not present during that day because of this retreat. I then disseminated the information to my classmates so that they will be able to know what are the things that is needed to be done; I asked a favor from my classmate to personally explain to the others on what I told her about the PT. We left the campus at 2:30 pm and rode the Lourdes College School bus, praying for guidance and safety as we went on the trip. We arrived at the retreat house around 3:10 pm and when we proceeded to exit the bus, the view was amazing and the place was so quiet that you can only hear the sound of the wind and birds chirping in the trees. We were lectured about the house rules and what are the things to be observe during the retreat. We were accompanied by Sister Dina, Sir Zandro, and also Father Joseph Gatdula who was our lecturer during the retreat. We spent the night at the retreat house where each of us were assigned in different rooms; in one room, there is a maximum of two (2) persons.
We ended our retreat with a Holy Eucharistic Celebration. Everything was worth it; the learning we had, all the motions we felt, how we handle things, especially with our problems. We are also very blessed that we have been given this opportunity to experience a retreat before graduating. We nurture everything; all the bonding and meeting of new friends. I am very happy that had I experienced this. I am hoping that I can come back here and experience this amazing feeling where we can just pause, take a deep breath, and enjoy while seeing the beauty of God's creation
