The obsidian sky raced endlessly towards the horizon with a peppering of crisp, twinkling stars. For a moment, Marley felt the world peeling from her heels with the divine levitation of wonder. In an instant, with his hand in hers, they were no longer bound by the silly titles that confined them. Instead, they were just beings filled with star dust and deferred hopes coveted for the rainier days. âYou mustnât refrain,â she quipped. âI quite enjoy your insight on the world, Mr. Scott. Itâs always jammed pack with some prolific wisdom beyond the muck.â Marley placed the bottle down on the edge, her eyes hungrily taking in the rolling swirls of cobblestone and brick. The streets lights illuminating the black top with the pristine glow that turned shadowy steeped figures dancing with each step.Â
âThat wounds me,â she mocking held her hand over her heart. Marley tugged him closer, turning his gaze just west of city hall. âTip your gaze slightly and youâll see him in all his Grecian glories.âÂ
Watching the sky from the top of Karens was always an escape; an escape from reality and all the things that made life hard. You could just get lost in the stars, where the only limit to what you could do was your own imagination. It felt as though they were in high school again, escaping from finals and SATs. Letting out a laugh he watched the world go by from the rooftop for a moment;Â ââLet me tell you now, itâs all a front. Iâm a hundred per cent hiding behind a fake persona of wisdom.ââ Jamie joked, lifting the bottle and taking a long drink.Â
ââWhat can I say, thereâs not alot of time for star gazing as a basketball player with troublesome twins..ââ He let out a soft chuckle, taking step closer to her and following her gaze up towards the sky taking in Orion in all his glory. ââThank god theres no cloud cover.ââ
