Ben Jones' album, Dr. Doo, is now up on the Internet Archive
Presumebly, a bootleg tape. Contains a bunch of Ben Jones' music.Ben Jones is also known for creating the Problem Solverz.Only 100 copies we
I've posted about Ben Jones' musical work outside of the Problem Solverz soundtrack before. But as some of you may have noticed, most of it isn't available online. However, after digging a little deeper into his history, I was able to find an upload of a self-titled bootleg(?) cassette tape.
It was released in 2015 by Ormolycka. They're probably best-known for releasing Death Grips bootlegs. Only 100 copies were made, making them pretty damn rare to come by. There's currently one for sale, but they don't ship to my country, so it's out of the question.
So if someone were to buy it and ship it to my P.O. Box.... just saying... just saying... I'm just saying.... I'm JUST saying... that'd be pretty cool, and I'd carve your name into my leg using the rustiest and dirtiest blade I could find. Just kidding.
I hope you enjoy this tape; it does sound a bit like the Problem Solverz at times. Some of these tracks were also part of Paper Rad's 2006 movie, "Dr. Doo in Fucland". It's very weird. I recommend checking it out. Yeah.
Ben also has at least one other EP out there titled "This Eclimpse". I had a short email conversation with someone who owns a copy of it, I offered to buy it, and they said they'll get back to me in "a few weeks"... that was nearly a year ago. I shot them another email asking about it, and they haven't gotten back to me... sigh. There was also something about an album titled "Inspirational Instrumental Music", or "I.I.M.", but I couldn't find anything about that.
I'll be on the lookout for any other pieces of music that Ben Jones has made. For now, enjoy this low-quality YouTube rip.
