Little story or something

*inspiration is from @oat-pup’s art where Roba becomes a Glampire and turns on Horace. Also I’m an amateur script writer lol*

Also TW: Horace acts WAY out of character because he’s a workaholic and he can’t handle not solving problems for a whole month. Also there’s some yelling and drama.

Tux Dog; Well, Problem Solverz. Seems like you three are the absolute worst at problem solving. While you DID defeat the Dream Slasher, you DIDN’T do it the way I told you to do. I am VERY furious.

Alfe: Don’t blame me and Horace. Roba’s the one who freaked out at the last second! AND he’s the one who made the Dream Slasher come out because he’s scared of everything!

Roba: Hey!

Tux Dog: Ah, Thank you for reminding me. Roba, since YOU caused the problem, you are hereby fired. We will be looking for a new replacement who is better than you. Thanks to you, the whole world is under the threat of a serial killer cat who attacks you in your dreams. As for you 2, you are also banned from Problem solving for the rest of the month. Now all you get out of here!

[later that night…]

Roba: *Horace is furious because he’s a workaholic and he can’t handle not solving problems for a whole month* Horace…. I-I’m sorry. I didn’t know that there was such thing as a dream demon or something.

Horace: Roba… I’ve been way too easy on you for too long. I think it’s about time you’ve grown up. Do you know WHY Farboro is at risk? Do you know WHY we’re banned from problem solving?! DO YOU KNOW WHY WERE NOW ONLY BEING PAID 15¢ NOW?!?! 

Roba: Horace, calm down I—

Horace: SHUT UP!!!!! SHUT!!!! UP!!!!! ROBA, THIS IS SERIOUS!!! MAYBE TUX IS RIGHT ABOUT YOU; IF YOU WEREN’T SUCH A NERVOUS WRECK, YOU WOULDN’T HAVE PUT FARBORO AT RISK OF DANGER FROM AN EVIL DREAM CAT DEMON!!!

Roba: HEY, ALFE IS USUALLY THE ONE WHO CAUSES MOST OF THE PROBLEMS, SO WHY ARE YOU MAD AT ME ALL OF A SUDDEN, AND NEVER AT ALFE?!?!

Alfe: Hey, why are you bringing me into this, SUPER DORK?!

Roba: BECAUSE YOU OFTEN GET ME INTO TROUBLE!!

Horace: ROBA, DONT YELL AT ALFE!!!

Roba: THEN DONT YELL AT ME!!!!!

Horace: THE POINT IS, ROBA, YOU ARE WAY TOO DEPENDENT ON ME! ITS TIME TO GROW UP, YOU ARE NOT A BABY ANYMORE!!

Alfe: *gets in Roba’s face* YEAH, YOU ALSO KILLED FARBORO WITH YOUR LAME FEARS!!

Roba: *shoves Alfe hard* GET OUT OF MY FACE, ALFE!!! WHY DONT YOU GO BE AN UGLY, DISGUSTING AND STUPID ASSHOLE SOMEWHERE ELSE!?!? 

Alfe: ….. 

Horace: ROBA, LANGUAGE!!!

Roba: NO HORACE!!! ITS TRUE!!! MAYBE IF YOU HADNT BEEN EXPLORING IN THE SEWERS, MY LIFE WOULDNT BE HELL!!!!

HAPPY 15TH ANNIVERSARY, PROBLEM SOLVERZ!!!

There's NO WAYYY I can finish my 15th anniversary drawing for Problem Solverz today 😭 I got so distracted with college assignments & then the random Midna drawing I did recently.

Since I couldn't finish it in time, I'll reshare some old fanart from the recent years!!

I love my hyperfixation of Problem Solverz for many reasons. One thing is that the art style genuinely helped improve my style by using Ben Jones as inspo :D. I also really, really adore the old zines/comics/pilot that the trio was in. Their whole storyline & other important characters that were involved is super interesting and it still saddens me that it had to get watered down till the flavor disappeared when the trio was last worked on.

I still remember whenever it aired ofc. Young me recognizing the very unique style & liking it because of that. I saw episodes 1, 2, 6, & 11 when it aired. And I remember the bumpers & the stripped "coming up" bumpers with Adventure Time & Regular Show. It was shocking that in May 2021, a day after I graduated high school, that when it was brought up and shown clips during an iceberg explained video, those memories clicked & just wouldn't leave my mind that day. Causing me to look up more episodes, watching them all. Then finding the older work of characters & Paper Rad itself. It's all so interesting & it hurts that none of it is as recognized. I'm very thankful for stumbling upon the fans I did later that year! It felt so lonely at first being very into the show that people disliked. I felt ashamed by drawing the characters so much. But I couldn't help it. I loved drawing them & still do. Huge thank u to the Problem Solverz fans I met for making me feel so much better & confident with my fanart!

I'm hoping Ben Jones is doing alright. When it hits December, it'll be 5 years since he had a project out. His work is so fun to look at & it's clear he works amazingly with an adult audience. Which sucks that we didn't see the pilot, Neon Knome's, story further on.

With all this tho, Problem Solverz (& Ben Jones work in general) means a lot to me by recognizing my interest with bright colors & surrealism & the fact it helped me with my own style too.
