At the least, she wasn't messing with the fairies. Entertaining them a little with some dancing lights between her hands, playing some. She knew she was still a guest...wherever this place was. Both looking like a local and asking about what place this realm was weren't exactly compatible things.
And even then, it seems like the ears and the choice of purple already made her look weird so...asking people where she had found and jumped into was absolutely off the table.
That gap might've been inaudible to normal sounds, but Pontia's vulpine ears were far from normal. They were outright deaf to normal sound, instead 'hearing' magic entirely, and that gap was a ping on their radar. Hurrying over to the source-
"-Huh? That sounded like a teleport. A little. But no one's here. The food doesn't...seem like it's any foul play, but..."
She's staring at it for a long while, before sitting down on the ground next to it, just waiting. Or trying to wait. The incessant hunger of her nature was gnawing at her, demanding food of some kind, and there was a spread right there. Looking at the spread, the gears in her head were turning to determine that this was some kind of Eastern location, with food to match.
Flicking an open palm out in front of her, there's a spark of magic in her hand that fizzles out just as fast, her brow furrowing in frustration.
"You have got to be kidding me. It's a dumpling. Why does it need any kind of serious throughput-? Fine. It'll just take longer, I think..."
There's a few more attempts, these ones slower, magic coalescing in her hand over the course of a few seconds, bits of her face seeming to glow before each attempt fitz-ed out with the same failure. After a few minutes of these attempts, she threw her head back in frustration with a grumble.
"Can't do anything with this level-! Fine, fine, just for a little more comfort..."
The fabric around her chest and midsection tightened slightly, along with a dejected sigh.
"...Or, I can not feel any different. It's a tiny change, after all. But it's been a few, so surely whoever did this wouldn't mind..."
Down one dumpling goes with incredible ease. And another, before leaning back a little, eyes darting around and going back to her waiting stance.
