My Everything...

My Everything...

I have come to realize that love, life and happiness are the 3 most important pursuits in a mans existence. If you really detail it and break it down you realize that even some of the more trivial pursuits such as wealth, health, and self expression all fall under those 3 things in some way shape or form.

Recently I have, or at least believe I have, had the rare opportunity to have all three of those things intertwined and the resulting impact is almost nirvana-like. To have a forever love, with an abundant life that brings a wealth of happiness, there seems to be no other factors needed to help enjoy this time on earth that God has blessed me with.

But then theres a kicker...

Once you find all three and get lost into the bliss of enjoyment knowing you have everything you will ever need you then begin to realize that just having everything is not enough...For some that may lead to the path of greed and destruction...For others, thats the unbridled truth that if you lose your everything, you have nothing. Fortunately or Unfortunately (however it may be), I find myself in the latter.

I can make a case for the positive or the negative, but for all I know it wouldnt matter in the end. Gaining the world only to lose it defeats even the most strong willed men alive, and can leave you in the depths of despair feeling like Odysseus.

This brings the question that has no right answer...should I do everything in my power not to lose what I have or should I do all the things that got me it in the first place to keep it?

I guess taking this life one day at a time I will never know...I just know without my everything, I am nothing...you are my everything...
