"Aaaaand cut! That’s a wrap!” Those were it: the magic words Noah had been waiting all day to hear called from the directors’ mouth. It meant they were done. It meant he was free. Detangling himself from his scene partner and these itchy grey sheets he’d just had to lay on for nearly an hour - they’d just finished a pretty heated love scene, what? hazards of the job - he bid her adieu before beelining it to his trailer.

There was only one costar he was interested in shooting those kinds of scenes with these days and, unfortunately for him, the current plot line of the tv show they both starred on made that a damn near impossible dream. Lucky for Noah, Willa had wrapped hours earlier and was waiting for him...which is how he justified nearly knocking the entire kraft service table over in his haste. “Honey, I’m home,” he said in his best cheese 30s tv sitcom voice, locking the door of the trailer behind him. || @euphoriant

Elle sat there in silence as she gave him a moment to process the whole thing, it was definitely a huge bomb to drop since he just got out of prison but she didn’t know when would be the perfect time to tell him that he had a beautiful daughter who’s been wanting to meet him for awhile now. So she sat there listened to all he had to say and he was right, she knew he would step up to the plate and become a father but he wouldn’t be able to achieve his dreams and aspirations in life. It would’ve been more difficult for him and she didn’t want to mess that up. “One, she thinks daddy’s busy with his work but she loves the toys ‘you’ send.” Her gaze solely on him, trying to see where he’s head was at before she proceeded to answer his questions. “Two, I just thought that you should know that you have daughter and if you want, you can be a part of her life.” Life was too short to hold any regret and she knew that if she took any chance for Harvey to meet Rosie, she knew that her daughter would resent her down the line and that Harvey would eventually find out and resent her too. She wanted neither of those things to happen because even after all this time, she harbored feelings for him. “I know you would have stepped up. You would’ve been a great father and you still could be but did you really want to marry me? We were young and in love but it didn’t mean that getting married would have been the best decision. You had big dreams, Harvey. I didn’t want to be the reason you couldn’t get that,” She was doing everything she could not to reach over and hold his hand “I think if we did get married, we might end up hating each other.”

Harvey listened to Elle’s explanations, to the version of reality that she had carefully constructed for their daughter, each word feeling like a hot dagger to his heart. “Well I appreciate you not making me the bad guy,” he murmured, unsure what else he could possibly say. He didn’t know she existed; he’d done nothing wrong - save for maybe double checking the durability of the condoms they had used - so why did he feel so incredibly guilty? “Did you say he name is Rosie?” He rolled the word around on his tongue, feeling so foreign but also immediately familiar like a word stuck on the tip of his tongue forever, finally spoken aloud. “Rosie.”

He licked his lips. “If? Of course I want to be part of her life, Elle. I’ve already missed so much of it. I can’t...” For the first time since his mother’s funeral, Harvey felt hot tears well in both eyes; he thought of all the missed birthdays and Christmases, how he would never get to see her first steps of hear her first word or drop her off at her first day of preschool. A little girl deserved to have her dad present for all those milestones and his didn’t. Wouldn’t. “I’ve known about her for two minutes and I already feel like I would die without her. I’d meet her right here, right now if I could.”

The way Elle spoke about him and his dreams and them together back when their lives wove around each other’s like a vine only confirmed what Harvey had always known: Elle knew him better than he knew himself. She understood him and his aspirations and his drive to be the best long before he’d made it his personal goal to become The Best Closer in New York City. Which is why he couldn’t gaslight her into thinking that the white picket fence was ever going to be their future had they tried to stick it out at 17 years old. “I guess you’re right. No, you’re absolutely right. That resentment would’ve built up and probably exploded in the end. But we’re not seventeen anymore, Elle. God, I’m talking like you don’t probably have a great guy back in Vermont. Sorry. All this change can’t be easy for you, either.” He reached across the table and took her hand in his, squeezing gently as their eyes met. “Thank you for telling me. Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me now.”

The car ride to the restaurant seemed like they were blasted back to the past and to her it felt like nothing changed. It all felt like they were love struck teenagers. Elle will always want the best for Harvey, there wasn't a day that went by where she wouldn't be a passing thought, a memory she fondly would look back on. At the time, he was her everything and the selfless thing to do was to let him go and live his dream. To her, he was a man with ambitions bigger than his own, she wasn't sure if he would want to be tied down to doing nappies and such and if she did ask him, she knew he would say yes. They were that in love with each other. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself." She teased and took a bite of her own burger. He was definitely not kidding with how good it was, taking a mental note to drop by the restaurant if she would find herself in New York again. When he started to explain what he had done when she disappeared, she felt guilt at the pit of her stomach. There was no use to beating around the bush and her gaze shifted from him to the table. "Definitely not hooked on crack, probably the last thing I would ever think of doing." She joked lightly, trying to find some courage to admit the secret she hid from him. “Harvey-” Elle ran a hand through her hair and let out a heavy sigh. “I got pregnant with our child and I didn't want to hold you down. You had big dreams and I believed in you- I wanted to see you succeed. So I disappeared for awhile, took care of Rosie, and now I have a B&B in Vermont. " Out of nervous habit, she started to chew on her bottom lip and tried to find the words to explain herself. “I just- I thought I would be holding you back and I love you- I still do. And I wanted what's best for you and at the time, I thought it was the right thing to do. "

Harvey chuffed, shaking his head at her small joke. “You were always too smart for that shit,” he murmured, his words tangling with hers as the two spoke over each other. For a moment, he thought he’d misheard her, his brain repeating her words over and over but not truly comprehending. “Wait, wait-- what? Pregnant? Wait, no because that would mean our--our daughter...she would be...oh my god.” As hungry as he’d been half a second ago, the pit that was now in his gut took up all the space. He felt sick. The room...was it getting smaller? Hotter? His hands clammed up, his entire body felt like it was vibrating but numb at the same time as his brain tried desperately to make sense of this bomb.

“I can’t believe you never told me. Elle, we have a kid? I have a kid whose never met her father. What did you tell her about why her dad isn’t around?” Shock gave way to anger, Harvey unable to gain a full grasp on the situation. “So that’s why you showed up today? To drop this bomb?” Just as quickly, anger morphed to guilt. “I would have stepped up, you know. We could’ve gotten married, done the whole white picket fence thing. We could’ve been really happy, Ellie.”

It was so easy to be with Beck, the fact that he gave her everything he could, and made everything feel so good. She was practically lulled to sleep after a tangled night spent together under the sheets in nothing but each other. Moving around in the morning to wake up, Stef felt refreshed, and ready to take over the day, the plan still set in stone with a small confirmation in the form of a kiss. Getting ready took long, but it was necessary to look the part, knowing she had to look sexy for the guests, but also refined to look like a guest when it came to wandering the house with her eyes on the prize. “At any wrong move, we ditch the whole plan, and we know nothing.” She patted his cheek, with her other hand holding his. “Just be the airheads they think we are, look pretty, and play dumb. Other than that, we’ve got plenty of time to gather things. And once the drinking is well underway, all we have to do is blend in.”

“Play dumb,” Beck echoed, willing his gut to stop with the backflips. If you really thought about it, they weren’t doing anything wrong; rather, they were righting the imbalance of the universe, not waiting around for good things to land at their feet but instead grabbing what they wanted. "Got it.” They let themselves in, introducing themselves as the hired help and immediately being directed to opposite ends of the house: Stef being pulled into the kitchen, Beck to the side doors to keep eyes on the backyard and any potential uninvited intruders. It took a hour but he eventually worked up the courage to excuse himself to the bathroom which was situated conveniently at the bottom of the grand staircase. Sauntering his way up, he tried to act like he owned the place in case anyone happened to stop him. He slipped into the first bedroom he could find, shutting the door quietly. If I were a rich person, where would I keep my diamonds? The closet? The bathroom? Hopefully not in a safe. Then, a jewelry box on the windowsill. Bingo. Beck slid out the top drawer only to be faced by a diamonds and emeralds tennis bracelet, a pair of dark blue gem earrings, and a light pink ring. His hand hovered over it all but...he just couldn’t do it. He took the ring and closed the drawer and high tailed it out of the room.

She could have told him that she hadn’t been particularly updated with the news since she’d had a kid, basically filling her days working or watching kids shows with her little girl or drawing with her. Though of course she didn’t tell him just yet, she only chuckled at what he said before going back to her car and slipping into the driver’s seat. “I can’t believe you just called me Dunnster.” Elle grinned at him before slipping her bag at the back seat and turning on the engine. It was good to see that even after all these years and him being i prison had not changed him one bit, he was still the same man she fell in love with all those years ago and until now she still loved him. A part of her would never stop feeling this way for him because he was the father of her child but more importantly he was her best friend before they were ever together. He became someone she confided in when she needed support, someone who made her feel loved, and she would forever be grateful for that. But she disappeared and the last thing she expected was for him to forgive her so easily or at least be this affectionate towards her. “So what are your plans now since you’re out?” She asked as she made her way to Minetta Tavern since he was craving for it, only seemed appropriate to give him what he wanted since he just served time in a place which she could only assume had less than adequate meals. Also for the truth bomb she was about to drop on him about their daughter, Rosie. “Is it possible for you to get your license back?”

“What? Did that nickname not stick after high school?” It was incredible to him how easy it was to fall back into the same rhythm they had in high school, as if no time had passed at all...as if she was driving them to Brighton High on a Friday morning back in 1996. As if she hadn’t, once upon a time, ripped his heart out of his chest, thus setting in stone the cynical outlook on love he’d carried with him ever since. Harvey pursed his lips as the warm August breeze whipped his face. “It’s possible in theory. But they made such a big deal of it all...they wanted to make an example of me. So I’m not exactly holding my breath,” he mused. “I could consult. Or maybe just try a totally different path. You think I’m too old to revive the whole be-the-coolest-rockstar-in-the-world dream?”

An hour later, Harvey was wrist deep in a burger the size of his head, unable to stop the moan of delight that escaped his lips upon his first bite. “This is some good shit,” he said, sending a smile across the table at his long lost love. “I’ve always wondered what happened to you, Ells. I called your house every hour on the hour for weeks and your parents never told me shit. I think it was our five year high school reunion that they finally told me that you were safe and living out of state. At that point, that’s all I needed to know...that you were okay. Not hooked on crack or anything.” Harvey put his food down, finding her gaze. He felt a tension...like there were things unsaid in the space between them. But given their history, of course there were things unsaid.

“You have no idea how much the thought of that is turning me on.” She spoke fervently in a whisper against his ear, unable to hide her excited expression behind the smirk. Without so much as an extra though, Stefani immediately threw her arms around him, the very idea that they were going to get away with this and then some got to her and she kissed him back with passion and unable to stop herself, wrapping against him to be carried into the bedroom. The evening poured through the afternoon however, and with details on the place she’d be working through a text, confirming her arrival, she let out a soft moan as she shifted in the bed. “I’ve got the confirmation of the place. We’ll be able to afford a couple months of rent if we play our cards right!”

The duo spent the rest of their evening in bed, loving each other in tangled sheets, whispered promises of champagne soaked futures lulling them to an eventual sleep. He awoke to her movements and a soft moan. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. “Let’s do the damn thing, baby,” he murmured, stealing one last kiss before hitting the showers. Hours later, Beck and Stefani were standing side by side at the front door of the mansion that Siri had directed them to. He glanced at his girl, taking a deep breath to steel up his nerves. “Let’s run this through one more time. Whoever can find their way upstairs first loads up with what they find just lying around bedrooms and bathrooms. If it’s you, bring it to me at the downstairs bathroom and I can walk in out here to the bag in the bushes. We’ll do that as many times as possible but distract, procure, and ditch, that’s it. If there’s anything that feels weird of suspicious, we’re out, yes?”

One, two... and then there was nothing. Nothing below her feet, nothing but blackness from her eyes squeezed tightly shut, nothing but the feeling of his hand in hers and, soon enough, cold water. Her heart was racing as she opened her eyes, the salt immediately making them burn, but she wanted to take in her undersea surroundings. When Brooke’s parents forced her to leave her beloved Tree Hill High to move across the world, experiences like these were what had been promised; she wanted to appreciate the moment. SHe surfaced, wiped the water from her eyes and whipping around, searching for Jimmy. “Okay, that was...something else. Thirteen year olds do that? At first, she was hesitant to wrap her arms around him because it’d been way too long since she’d last seen him. Thing have happened in her life that changed her and seeing Harvey, remembering how it all was back in a simpler time, it felt all too foreign for her. Though she showed a smile and walked on towards the taller figure, wrapping her arms around his waist, a hug that felt warm and inviting. She didn’t think she missed his hugs but she did, in that moment, she was reminded why she fell in love with him all those years ago. “It’s good to see you, Harvey. It’s been way too long.” She said after a few moments and pulled away from him.

“I was hoping to talk to you about something and I talked to a couple of our friends about where I could find you or how I could contact you. They told me you were here and told me when they’ll release you. So here I am!” Elle was still holding back about what she really had to tell him, she wasn’t sure how he’ll react, and since he just got out of prison. She wanted to put off telling him about Rosie until they were in a calmer state. “Do you want to grab something to eat before I’ll drop you off to your place? You must be starving for some real food, you’re so much thinner than before.”

"It’s good to see you too, Elle,” he echoed, his chin resting atop her head as the two embraced. It wasn’t lost on him that the title of first-female-touch-he-received-post-prison would now and forever belong to Elle, quite possibly the last person he thought he’d ever see again. He allowed her to pull away, jamming the hand that wasn’t holding his plastic bag of belongings into his jacket pocket as he listened to her Nancy Drew-style explanation. “Or you could’ve just glanced at the front page of the Times a few years back,” he said, an air of...was that pride? lacing his words. Given his status in the city, the downfall of the great Harvey Specter had been front page news for nearly a week and if that wasn’t something to be proud of, he didn’t know what was.

He raised an eyebrow at her suggestion to eat, shaking his head at her jab at his weight. “Same old Ellie,” he said, pursing his lips and nodding. “I would sell my soul for a burger from Minetta Tavern right about now.” He was still suspicious about why Elle had reappeared out of thin air after dropping off the face of the earth mere weeks before they were set to graduate but he was desperate for food, for companionship, for anything that bared any familiarity of his old life. And so he said, “Let’s hit it, Dunnster,” and made a beeline for her waiting car.

Nails dragging against tanned skin, sweat sticking to dark hair, fingers entwined, bodies tangled in a heated mess — often, that’s where Willa found herself when it came to him. He was intoxicating and mesmerizing; he pulled her in with that smile… that God damn smile, and she couldn’t stand how strong his affect on her. Mind clouded with thoughts of him, knowing that her time of late was filled with him, and she couldn’t imagine anything better. Slender legs hung over the frame of her couch, her body adorned with nothing but an oversized sweatshirt — which she was sure she must’ve taken from Noah — and the slink necessity of underwear beneath it.

On the screen before her, reruns of Brooklyn Nine-Nine kept her mind preoccupied… or at least, tried to. Manicured tips combed through her black tresses, waiting for him to keep her company, for yet another night. She knew she was playing with fire, that her ‘no strings attached’ approach would bite her in the ass, considering the barrage of feelings that she was trying to squash. The longer this went on, the harder it was going to be — it had been several years of on-and-off rendezvous, and as much as she wanted to keep things light and breezy… things weren’t always just light and breezy for Willa and Noah.

When she called, he answered. When she texted, he replied. When she wanted his body - no matter the time of day or night - he was always quick to oblige, knowing full well there was a line of people waiting for their chance to be in his shoes. Hell, the whole wide world - celebrity and fan alike - wanted a shot with the great Willa Thyssen and Noah would be damned if he gave up this gift he’d been given. Three knocks and she was in his arms, a flurry of long hair and baggy clothes that she still somehow managed to make look sexy, the two of them falling into the dance they did nearly every night these days.

“How was your day?” His inquisition was breathy, each word punctuated with a kiss or a nip or a graze of her neck, his hands eagerly reaching under her (his) sweatshirt. He didn’t want her to think - after all their years of friendship-that-sometimes-burned-into-more-than-friendship - that he was just using her for sex. Even if that was sort of the decision they’d agreed upon weeks prior. Well, she had agreed...he had reluctantly nodded without saying a word. But like he said, no way he was going to give this thing up. Yeah, he had his pick of any Hollywood starlet he wanted but he didn’t want them. He wanted her.

‘Don’t forget to finish buying shit for the apartment tomorrow.’ He thought to himself, checking his watch and noting it was nearly midnight...almost time to punch out. School had been in session for a few weeks now but between grad school, internship research, a side job at Target that paid the bills, and partying, interior decoration was the last thing on Johnny’s mind. Meeting his new neighbors hadn’t cracked the to-do list either though, a few nights ago, he had overheard a conversation between a couple of his male neighbors in the hallway.

They were discussing in not-so-hushed tones about some insanely hot chick that allegedly lived somewhere in their building, placing bets on which of them would be first to bang her. It was all Johnny could do not to drop them right there but it did definitely pique his interest, wondering just how hot this girl could possibly be. Trudging back to his place after a closing shift, Johnny drug himself down the hall, excited at the thought of passing out, hopefully sometime before 1am. Before he could unlock his door, the door across from him swung open. “Oh, shit, hey. Sorry, did I wake you?” || @euphoriant
