This is what the spirit of community can do. This morning, the Delhi police demolished a shabeel (water drinking station), as a result of clear anti-Sikh sentiments, outside of Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib- the place where Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was martyred at the hands of Aurangzeb.

However within two hours, everyday sangat got together and rebuilt the shabeel- which serves fresh cold water to thousands of people daily.

Let this be a metaphor for the end of our qaum’s gulaami. We cannot just sit and wait for someone to rebuild out walls that they destroyed. We must stand up and pick up our own bricks and mortar and rebuild.
