what a productive day, and it is only 5:30pm here in france. i absolutely love being on university breaks because i can study without so much pressure. i revised few chinese characters that i encountered in an article we are currently studying on, worked a little bit for my classical chinese class, i made some chinese flashcards, and learnt a ęčÆ for my next week oral presentation. now currently taking a little youtube break to watch some videos about russian language and then i will study some more!

In response to the question I get asked by almost every single person I meet: yes, I could easily graduate in three years if I wanted to; and no, I donāt want to
(Donāt you think a person who loves UCLA as much as I do would want to stay as long as possible?)
This has been in the works for a while now but after today I am officially pursuing a minor!! :) I donāt want to share what it is just yet, but I am very excited hehe
Going to see my counselors and departmental advisors is so funny to me now because they format their academic appointments in the same format that I do for my job and we use the same Degree Audit Report System because we share the exact same staff functions and I saw them looking up my academic records in the exact same way that I look up my own students LOL how the turns have tabled

Summer is almost over :ā( NSA staff banquet was so bittersweet ā photos, speeches, slideshow of the summer, the whole shebang ā and Iām so sad itās over, but mostly happy that it happened
Itās weird not studying for anything since Iāve been in school for over a year and a half straight, but this week feels like a very much needed break
Excited for friends to move back in and for campus to be bustling again :-)

Today is the first day of fall quarter!! :) I donāt have classes on Thursday so I got to sleep in today (my shift ended at 3am this morning lol) and work ahead in my classes whoo
School can be rough but I actually kind of miss studying

Fifty minute midterms at 8am should be be illegal thatās all I have to say today
In light of finishing my biochem midterm though, our lecture on Friday at 8am has been cancelled and Iāve never been more excited to sleep in

My physics midterm is in two days and Iām terrified somebody tell me why I think lower div mechanics is harder than upper div biochemistry
A lot of good things happened this week I am very grateful :ā) Met a lot of cool people and caught up with a bunch of other ones, including my mentees who all seem to be transitioning wonderfully <3
Also my research project is about to go crashing down and all my partners and I are so nervous, fingers crossed we donāt get rekt :ā)
