good to know that there is one thing that has not changed this semester: I still have no idea how to draw shadows
last text post for the day (look i’m doing a writing thing again)
i’ve been perusing my own tumblr and i realised how sad all my text posts were. did i think i was being edgy lmao. okay but really, like, looking back at that and remembering what i was like then is so surreal because i’m having a great time right now. even though it might feel like life is absolute shit, apparently it was nothing compared to then.
quite honestly, i’m surrounded by completely different people now! and it makes all the difference. i feel significantly happier and everything feels great. my friends in school are amazing, and it’s so great to be surrounded by six other music nerds, and to know that they always have my back when i need it. so i guess music school wasn’t that big of a flop after all. but really, even though life feels shitty because of tendonitis, music school stress, and friend group drama, i honestly couldn’t be happier.
so i guess this is a text post reflecting on my past self, and a message for future me for when i peruse my own tumblr again. things absolutely get better, and the people you surround yourself with can really affect the way you look at life.
