lifeguardandy:
Andy was taken aback for a moment, her eyes going wide at their words before they dropped a facade, a nervous laugh escaping her lips. “Haha very funny.” she said shaking her head. “You scared me! I’m gonna have to get you back now, just a fair warning. I was known as quite the prankmaster back at church camp.” she joked. “Straving actually. I figure I probably should have a ton more before all this. What kinda food did you have in mind?”
“Fair warning,” Jasper said, holding back another chuckle, “You’re definitely not at church camp any more. But I’ll keep my eye on you.” Jasper stood completely now and shook out their blonde hair before offering Andy a hand. “I’m feeling sushi today, but I’m eat just about anything, really.”

lifeguardandy:
Andy surfaced from the water, breathing heavily and setting the cinderblock on the outside of the pool. “There.” she said panting loudly. “That’s gotta be it right? How much more training could we possibly have?” she said, pushing up out of the pool and resting on the edge, her feet still in the water. “We’ve been going at this for hours.”
( @jaspercclt )
Jasper feigned a serious expression as she pulled herself out of the pool. They sat beside her and declared, “There’s no such thing as too much training.” Dropping the facade, they let out a laugh. “You’re doing great. I think we’re good. You hungry?”
Piper: I'm hoping that's a good reaction
Jasper: i mean i'm literally dying
Jasper: but yes
Jasper: very, very good

considering that she grew up in a neighbourhood that wouldn’t exactly be called safe, natalia learned how to defend herself in an early age. for a pretty small girl, she knew how to fight and take down a man twice her size. but jasper’s worrying did get her a little bit anxious herself and her heels were killing her. still, she masked it off with a laugh at their response over the phone. “yeah and he wouldn’t know what hit him. literally,” she added in jest as their strides grew quicker. closer and closer she approached the ship; she could already see it from where she was but not yet close enough either. somehow, it felt like the footsteps stopped as she neared the ship, feeling like whoever was following her has backed away as the woman finally reached the docks.
Jasper let out a laugh at the joke, despite the tension growing in their stomach. They had to remind themself not to think of the worst case scenario. All things considered, this was going rather well. Nala still hadn’t hung up and was cracking jokes along with them. “I’ll be waiting at the dock,” they said. “Don’t hang up until you see me, okay?” Knowing the feeling of that false sense of security when seeing your destination, usually a building. It was easy to get ahead of yourself. But Jasper wanted and needed to be certain she was safe. Upon finally catching sight of the dark-haired woman, Jasper restrained themself from going into an all-out sprint. Instead, they waited until she was closer. “Hey,” they said, pocketing the phone. “You okay?”
What are your thoughts on Piper and Jasper?
Is this going to be a thing? You ask me my opinion about something or someone and I’m supposed to say something funny and mildly insulting? Perfect. I’m good at that. Piper and Jasper or should I refer to them as PB&J for this conversation. They remind me of those cute all consuming crushes you had when you were younger. Everything they do is cute. The way they chew, blink, or even breathe. You swore you would die if you didn’t spend 23 hours out of a 24 hour day talking about any and everything. Did I forget to mention the constant public displays of affection. Everything made you excited with the whole butterflies in your stomach feeling – Then after two weeks you’re bored and you move on to the next pretty face or tight ass. Love or lust my little beignets. Either way there’s the past lurking around every corner of this ship and innocent crushes that could easily become distractions. We could see this this high seas love affair turn into a ride on a deflated life boat. I guess only time will tell or that whole Wildcard fraternization policy might bring this romance to an end.

Piper finished the bite, her eyes fluttering up to look into Jasper’s. She didn’t quite have a free hand, one of them holding the remainder of her beignets and the other now with powdered sugar stuck on her fingers. “I want to do something. Like… pierce something.” She raised her eyebrows, a smirk on her face. “After I get cleaned up of course." With that, she went to place a quick peck on Jasper’s lips but ended up staying there for a moment, enjoying the taste of them and powdered sugar.
They savoured the kiss, tasting the sugar still on Piper’s lips. Jasper’s hand tightened just a bit around her waist before pulling back. “Pierce something?” Well, that got Jasper’s attention. Eyebrows raised, they looked Piper and up down. “Like what?”
nicolinasedwcrds:
“Exploring sounds good to me! Just don’t get me lost okay? I wouldn’t wanna miss the boat outta here!” she laughed. Nicolina too was excited to get a good experience of the city, she’d always heard how amazing New Orleans was but had yet to experience it first hand. “I thought so. I may actually have to stop by the pool now. I didn’t realize the lifeguards were quite so cute.” she teased with a smile. “Its nice to meet you Jasper! I’m Nicolina, most people just call me Nico though.”
“I feel like we’ll be able to spot that behemoth of a ship from two states over--we’ll be fine. Probably.” Jasper nodded, taking on an air of confidence a bit stronger than what they actually felt. “And it’s just me,” they insisted as though it were a matter of fact before laughing, their steps leading the two farther from the ship. “It’s nice to meet you, too. Nico? I like that.”

anikaxchoudhury:
“The better question…Is it wrong that I hope you’re right because I won’t be able to stand wrinkles on my face and I despise the unnatural look of cosmetic surgery.” Anika hadn’t thought about that option for the other lifeguard. “You’re right or it could also be exactly what you said. They’re a mastermind and have discovered the best to do the least amount of work. No one wants to be around a creepy mouth breather.” Narrowing her eyes, Anika’s disapproving look soon morphed into a smile. “No pool. Stay away from the pool.” She wasn’t exactly sure what to suggest to them, “How about a massage. Have you ever had one?” Thinking of something slightly more risque, “Or you could go to the Ace of Spades and enjoy a private dance. How do you usually relax?”
“Definitely staying away from the pool,” agreed Jasper. As much as they loved swimming, sometimes it only served to remind them of work, and it wasn’t something they needed on their day off. “I suppose a massage could be a good idea. I haven’t had one since being here, but I could probably use one.” They considered a dance for a moment or two before chuckling. “A private dance isn’t my usual, but I could be persuaded. But I feel like it might be awkward if I run into the dancer outside of the club.” It wasn’t that Jasper minded per se, but they tended to be more awkward then most from time to time. “My go to? Probably sleeping or watching movies. Not the most thrilling, which is why I’m definitely open to new ideas.”

Ana didn’t want to make Jasper uncomfortable and she worried that she might be doing just that to them. When she heard the acknowledgment, it was her turn to relax. “Good.” The word was final. Her fingers moved, brushing at the short strands of Jasper’s hair, just behind their ear. Ana didn’t mind the hands that slid along her sides. It was nice to be close and dance. To hopefully help Jasper have fun. “I think we’re the best dancers out here.” Even if they weren’t, she’d say it until the other believed it. “And the cutest. We’re extremely cute.” Locking her hands behind their neck, Ana remained close. Working her body to the music against Jasper’s. “You’re doing a lot better. You’re a really good student.”
Jasper had to laugh, as much as the comment was appreciated. While they were certainly growing more comfortable with their moments, their rhythm still left much to be desired. “I definitely agree about the cuteness,” they conceded. Even as the song changed and flowed into another, Jasper stayed close and did their best to mirror Ana’s movements, revelling in the way they could feel the warmth of her body and the movement of her muscles. Jasper couldn’t help but appreciate the soft curves of her. “I have a pretty incredible teacher.”
