ETHAN AVRAM
“I know Athena,” Ethan said to the person before him. Ever since the whispers started, the people of the Community had been stirring restlessly. It was… Ethan could understand the unease– the majority of their people had family with them and after McMillan… But the Roamers? No, no they their neighbors. And Atty, even Cyrus who he’d only spoken to sparingly, weren’t that desperate. “I know the Roamers, too. They’re good people– I get that it’s hard to believe that those kind of people exist, but they do. Rumors are rumors are rumors.”
Jax, in all honesty, was fine with the truth about the Roamers. She gave Ethan a small pat. “In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter?” She asks. “I mean not that I think we should all become cannibals, but it is getting harder to find food. Scottsdale isn’t exactly farmville ya know.” Jax continued. Jax had spent some time around the Community when they were helping the survivors get better. She hadn’t found her friend, but she had made her peace with it - or at least that is what she told herself. “If they are serving human burgers, at least they are helping feed people.”
