Lexaeus wasn’t typically one for pleasantries, but he had his moments; to many peers his age, he was the outcast, the one who skipped class to smoke on the bleachers and the one who always got kicked out when he’d say something rude. He’d managed to make a few close friends, mostly in Danny, and it was them who offered support to the boy whose family abandoned him. Because he owed so much to Danny, he decidedly went with the plan of meeting someone new, and now his eyes were fixed on Jaxon and he couldn’t be more pleased with his decision. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jaxon.” Grasping the others hand, he flashed a crooked smile, holding the handshake for a moment too long before tucking his spare palm into the front pocket of his jeans. Although Danny was chattering, his green hues stayed fix on the newcomer. Their mutual friend noticed, and thus clapped both of their shoulders and departed with a shout of ‘I’m getting more drinks!' Lex didn't bother tearing his eyes away, merely letting a smirk tug up his expression as he stepped closer. “So you're new, huh? Where'd you come from?”
Jaxon hadn't even realized he was staring initially until Danny made the announcement that he would be leaving. However, even coming to the realization that he was gawking, he couldn't find it him to stop his eyes from ogling the other, taking in his every feature. He found it hard to turn away, his full attention grasped with no real effort being put forth. It was a trance, and Jaxon was more than willing to fall under. Not that he had made very many friends growing up to begin with, but he had never met someone quite as mesmerizing as Lex. Jaxon wasn't antisocial, per se, and he didn't have a dislike for the people that surrounded him--because he could make friends quite easily if he tried--but introverted and reclusive, Jaxon preferred isolation. He wasn't a fan of crowds or spontaneity; he favored a much more steady pace. "I came from Newport," He answered, his tongue darting over his bottom lip as he spoke, tentatively. "Out on the Isle of Wight. My mum and I moved here, traveling over the Solent, so she could come back to her hometown." And thank god they did. "She's sick right now and she's not doing too well, so she wanted to be home in case."
