I don't think I've ever properly introduced myself properly here on tumblr, have I? I've seen a ton of people make intro posts, and I think I should make a little intro!

I'm Jaxper! Some call me Jax or JJ, I'm a trans guy (he/they) from Brazil and at the time of posting this I'm 18 years old. I love drawing and only recently have I become comfortable to show my works, maybe one day I might grow enough confidence to show my OCs as well! (I have a ton of them).

(This is a bit of a vent because I'm lonely as fuck)

How do I explain to people that I want to talk to my favorite character but I don't want it through an AI chatbot? Like, I hate generative AI, I refuse to willingly use it and even if I did, its results would not please me at all because I've seen that it tends to like, hallucinate and stuff? And it also is super shit at remembering and all that, but I really wish I could talk to my favs. Fanfiction hasn't been doing it for me anymore, and roleplaying feels odd considering that I will not see my roleplaying partner as the character, I'll just see them as a random person and it just feels uncomfortable... Best option I have is dreaming, but I can never guarantee results from it considering that my sleep is inconsistent and I don't always get what I want from them.

I've tried writing my own stories for myself, talking to myself, tried that whole shifting thing (just got stressed after it didn't work at all), I do art, I make little comics for myself, but gog damn, nothing feels right. I just wish there was a way to like, physically meet my favorite characters, you know? To communicate with them, to be able to feel them like a real person.

I can imagine and fantasize all I want, but unfortunately, it's an impossible desire.

Does anyone feel like that as well? Or am I weird for saying this? I've been rather lonely for most of my life, and I always try to cope with it, my loneliness mostly comes from the fact that I live in a small, secluded village with nobody my age around or anybody who shares my interests and beliefs, so I feel unsafe to speak of them near those people, and also that it's a little far from city-life. Even if I was in the city, I wouldn't have enough money or energy to deal with such a lifestyle, and I get extremely overwhelmed extremely easy so I wouldn't be able to physically or mentally adjust to anything, plus I'm a bit shit at communicating, so pretty much almost all of my friendships are online.

All I have are my family, my cats and the online world, with the occasional friend coming to visit on a very rare day.

I've been told I'm a freak for being like this, so attached and dependent on characters, that I'm childish... In a way, they are right. I have no condition to meet new, safe people in real life, so I cling onto whatever I have and just... Kind of hope they stick around, I guess.

I turned 18 back in march this year, and to this day, I feel helpless, all throughout these years. I mean, I'm content with most of my life, with where I live and my interests, but loneliness always gnaws at me every single day, and it feels like it's been growing with each moment, the need, the desire, the overwhelming sense of dread that I feel whenever someone in my family asks me if I have a partner or a crush of any kind yet and I have to say no, despite how much I simply can't stand being alone anymore and have just resorted to fiction for comfort.

So yeah, no money, no love life, just a highly dependent, empathetic and emotional autistic loser with gender dysphoria who does nerd shit. That's me! And I hope I can change one day.

This will mostly be personal theorizing and headcannons, specially considering that, despite re-researching Rayman thoroughly just for this question, I didn't exactly find an answer for that.

Rayman, in my point of view, is partially aware of his power, he is indeed technically a god, so he might be more than he seems! If he were to tap into such powers, he may be able to do a lot more than he already does, especially considering he is both a creation from the nymphs (who are powerful already) and is very close to Polokus. He might not be fully aware of the extent of what he is.

Considering he and Globox specifically lived throughout the entirety of the century-long nap, you can assume they have both gained longevity, which is pretty important! I'm not exactly sure if Globox's species in specific has longevity by itself, or if like, all the beings in the Glade just straight up have it by default... Maybe the latter? If not, I can assume that Polokus might have given it to them because of a dream or something.

So in conclusion, I believe he might have more power than he thinks he does.
